2019 Leather seats

Hi just test drove a couple of 2019’s at the dealer while my 2015 access cab TRD off-road was in being serviced. Tried a double cab TRD sport and a Sport upgrade, my thoughts were that the seats were not comfortable as my seats are in the 2015 as the 2019 appear to have thinner padding. The upgrade seats in the sport upgrade appear to be leather but the salesman said they are not and the seats did not have that leather type new smell to them.
Anybody have any experience with Toyota “leather seats” on their wear and tear properties? I wish we had the model options in Canada as you guys do in the US as I like your sport TRD access cab, but sadly Toyota Canada won’t bring them in.

 

I believe there called “softtex” like a hybrid I guess. In my opinion, it’s better to about factory leather options as they tend to be more expensive and go aftermarket like katzkin. I did and I love them

 

I hear you but the truck that I am looking at has all the options that I want without going to a Limited. Just wanted to know if any of you out there have any problems or wear issues with these "softtex" seats. Have seen leather seats in a few other vehicles that looked like crap after a few years and the TRD ones in mine still look like new.
