Key words there... across NASCAR... All 3 premier series.

He raced with the lesser competitors to get to his number... The King did it with the big boys.

Hes not racing K&N.... And he races every race they let him... Just like the king who raced several times a week... It may not have been split back then but in reality it was... When me and you would have a chance to race then they weren't necesarily the big boys... Btw hows RPM running these days?

Petty Enterprises, the Team Petty built, ceased operations nearly a decade ago.

RPM is Medallion Bank. Petty owns a minority stake in the RPM business in exchange for his racing team assets and use of his name. He does not run the team and has very little say in day to day operations.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
With the rules the way they are now even counting all three series I would say what Kyle has done is a lot more impressive than what Petty did. I mean those were years where his car was making a hundred more horsepower, he had factory backing and for a couple a wing on his car. Never been much of a petty fan, seemed about like the Yankees of NASCAR back then. I mean back in the days Petty was winning he had a decisive advantage and most teams did not run every race so in fact he was the one who won a lot of races when he clearly was racing lesser competition.

This will be an argument for years. They are totally different in so many ways. But at the end of the day, they are both impressive as hell.

No denying The King made a great driver... but a horrible judge of talent. Look at the drivers he has had under the 43 since retirement... John Andretti, Bobby Hamilton, AJ Allmindinger, the list goes on.

The death of Kyle's kid really dinged them... I truly think he would have been their future.

Like the MJ/Lebron arguement of today... different era's have different circumstances.

I just wanted to stir the shit pot... you know channeling my inner Logano.

Safe money is on Wrecky Spinhouse or McDowell. Wish Suarez could have wrung his bell a little better when he put him on the ground.

I'm gonna say something crazy and go with Bowman causing it... call it a hunch.

I was thinking the same thing. I bet if doesn't do something soon, he will be out of that ride. He looks like a bank teller.

Shoot. Petty, Busch, and Evans combined, still lose out to Buck Simmons:

Then Buck is defeated by Dick Trickle (1,200+ wins), who is overshadowed only by the GOAT Denny Hamlin with 10,000 wins.

Man, I don’t even know where they’re racing this weekend (I’ll check in a sec.). Thinking about ‘Dega at the end of April. Not sure. Just so so cautious about this racing package, and not just its impact on the on-track product, but also its impact on the drivers enthusiasm for Cup racing.

God AMS is high priced... Just renewed my seats and made Saturday cheaper seats.... And its $240 for two people.... I pay $170 for 2 at Talladega for great seats both days and the camping is free.... Hell i think Bristol is cheaper than AMS
