I was a Biblical studies major in a college of ministry and work for a church. Not to derail this thread into a theological discussion, but it's not so much that all sin is equal, rather, in the name of purity, even one "sin" is enough to be "cast out" as they say. So it doesn't matter what the sin is because sin is sin and all fall short of the glory, as they say. And still, this is not the focus of the Good News or of the Christian doctrine. To focus on sin and the consequences is Old Testament or Old Law, and the New Testament is the plot twist, where Jesus arrives and says "all the old law is dead. It does not matter. What matters is that you love yourself and love God." God being the term given to define the concept of true love, you are called as a believer to love LOVE, which is to care for yourself, and ALL others equally, regardless of past sins. Jesus atoned for all so if you carry a burden of guilt, let it go, be free, and proceed in a loving manner, equally, to all, just as Jesus did.

I would assume Coach Gibbs has this understanding of the scripture, though Americans, especially wealthy Americans, are apt to err towards the legalistic side in a "rule for thee but not for me" manor.

Race sucked. Not a #4 fan and hate that the #9 and #11 crashed and finished at the rear.

I used to make statements about NASCAR being rigged, and I still believe they influence races with selective cautions, but if NASCAR was really that rigged:
It wouldn’t have taken Dale Sr 20 years to win a Daytona 500
Dale Jr would have won a championship
Danika would have won a race

But you can look at the absurd inconsistencies in calls even throughout a weekend and see it... I remember at Talladega one year where there were 2 identical wrecks on the last lap with different calls each day... must've been based on who was in the lead at that time

My theory on why they kept changing the Chase format... try to make it easier for Dale Jr to win.

I read a piece a while back and somebody actually did some research and saw that if the Chase format they moved to that year was an effect of the year before... Two out of three of those times Dale jr. Would have been the champion.

Problem... he sucked too much to actually take advantage of the change.

I think they've tried to Jimmie-Proof it for a while, going to more extreme measures with each passing year. If you count 2019, which Jimmie will not win the Cup, he's been the only repeat winner (twice, '13 & '16) in the past nine years.

I fell asleep and missed the end of the race last night but those trucks sure do put on a good show! Fannin out 7-8 wide on the green flags. I fell asleep with about 20 to go. Nice to see the #52 having some good runs. Looking like a great group for the final 4. There's so much turnover season to season in the truck series (like how Cup used to be until the mid-90s when longer contracts became normal), so there's little consistent data to compare. Based off last year's results:

    Moffitt- 1st
    Friesen-4th
    Crafton- 6th
    Chastain- 16th

IIRC, Chastain is running with GMS equipment this season, and that's been an obvious benefit to his success. Still, I'd put my money on Moffitt to be a repeat winner and champion next weekend. Big mustache energy.

Yeah, I’d say it’s between Moffitt and Chastain with Crafton as a long shot 3rd. Didn’t see Friesen’s win coming last night as I didn’t see him as a serious contender. The truck’s final four looks like I expected except for him. I expected Moffitt, Chastain, Crafton, and Sauter. Ilmore really screwed him.

I know it's tough 3:1 match up, but if Harvick keeps his nose clean and the Gibbs cars race him clean, he wins. Team orders will be out the door on this one. Should be fun to watch how cut-throat those Gibbs drivers get racing each other (Watch them all take each other out in the last 15 laps):

Kyle Busch Homestead Results: Avg finish 17.4

Martin Truex Homestead results: Avg finish 10.8

Denny Hamlin Homestead Results: Avg finish 10.6

That was a shit race. And thanks to all the money ISC (read: NASCAR) dumped into Phoenix they’re moving the championship race there next year. That’s gonna suck! Who wants to watch the championship decided by a 9+ second lead?!
