This will probably be my last full NASCAR season...

I've been trying so hard to stick with the sport I loved for so long in my childhood but it's just getting quite impossible.

Same. It’s like staying in a relationship long after you know it’s over.

I think NASCAR helped them prepare it.

Given today’s coverage, as a sponsor it is not worth putting your name on the car. No coverage given beyond championship 4. No word of Jones’ 3rd place finish or Hemrich’s top-10.

I assumed that.... I mean it's really only 4 cars and with this format, may as well just be those 4 straight up...

Congrats to Kyle Busch and his team. My brother-in-law were alive today he'd be loving it. Myself... Not to be a conspiracy theorist or nothing but that whole race seemed rather suspect.

I just gotta go with the facts. Kyle love or hate him was the most popular of the bunch. I think NASCAR is starting to realize they're losing their fans and have to hold on for dear life to whatever's keeping them there instead of realizing it's their actions that are turning us away.

They could cut the spoilers back down and go to a season long championship and people may just tune back in

And even still, I believe Kyle would've beat Harvick for the Cup by a closer margin than this manufactured finale.

SHR has not committed to Chase Briscoe for 2020. Cindric is locked in with the 22. Ford is committed to Chase, so he'll be in an Xfinity Mustang next year. I reached out to Chase today to look into driver sponsorship opportunities. Hoping he'll hook me up with his rep and I can at least do a 1-time deal for Atlanta next March, then see if any of my work clients are interested in some small packages.

Edit: that was fast! I talked with Chase today, he’s getting me in touch with his rep about sponsoring his dirt car.

Dude, I saw that on reddit and I’ve been texting with one of the promoters who used to do work there and for Lavonia. I am pumped! Two days of racing and a return of the Crown 300. This is awesome news for Georgia asphalt racing!

I've had some time to mull it over and give it serious thought and here's what I come up with...

I'm going to give NASCAR one more year to get their shit together.

Well that... And I kind of look forward to the 21 winning a bunch of races next year. Wood Bros actually have a competent driver in it for the first time since maybe Dale Jarrett.

I'm going to continue to watch, until at least halfway through the 21 season. Wanna see how the next gen car looks and see if it makes the racing any better. Also, can't wait to go to the inaugural night race at Martinsville next year.

I think it’s wild that the Xfinity cars go faster than Cup cars at the intermediate tracks. Part of being a driver is car control and tire management, and they’ve taken both away with the high downforce, 550hp package.

I harped for years to slow them down by 20 miles per hour, raise the cars off the ground, chop the spoiler, return to bias ply tires, and make them skinnier. This would require them to control their cars, manage tires, and go slow enough in the turns that they could make more passes.

NASCAR did slow them down but without doing the other things, it actually made it harder to pass. Cornering speeds are up because they’re just driving oversized governed go-karts out there.

I plan to do Atlanta, Bristol (if I work out this sponsorship deal), Roval, and Talladega next year. I’ll tune in for Daytona and Watkins Glen, but that’ll probably be it for me.
