2019 NASCAR thread

Yeah, what the hell were they thinking. This is the ugliest car I can remember seeing on a race track. Not a 48 fan so I don't really care but damn, nothing works on this scheme.

With that sponsor and paint scheme maybe that's what ol Rick is trying to make him do. If I worked marketing at HMS I would have been like "look here, you new sponsor Mr. Johnson is BigBlackDildos.com. Car's gonna be white with one wide black racing stripe down the middle then three stripes from the trunk lid back, sponsors name will be exploding out the end of the stripe in the middle of the hood!"

 

Logo reminds me of the old Tighe Scott car:

 

The new 48 scheme is bad. It’s like their wrap guy said, "the printer messed up the hood graphic" and the supervisor just said "eh... just go with it"

 

I wonder if JJ is getting his helmets with the drivers he thought he would tie in wins two years ago repainted. LOL, guess he jumped the gun on those a tad!

 

With Chad gone I doubt JJ wins another race.

 

The 48 may look terrible, but RFR hasn't done too bad with their new Mustangs.

The 17 definitely looks good, but will spend a lot more time in the wall than the 48... other than when he’s up wrecking the leaders on super speedways.

 

Got that right! I'm hoping that having the Mustang will be enough of a different setup to allow Ricky to spend more time in the top 10 instead of the wall or taking the wave around.

Man, I am itching for some racing action. It's been too long.

 

A little over a month to go. Can't wait.

 

I'm going to speedfest on January 25th.... If you dont want to go to Cordele there is a pit party for AMS with Bubba Wallace and Daniel Suarez in Norcross on the 25th as well.

 

I saw that, but I'll be in Vegas for SHOT Show.

Headed to Speedfest this weekend

 

24 hours of Daytona is this weekend. Not the biggest fan of that racing, but I'll watch a little bit. At least it's race cars at Daytona, means Nascar is getting close.
