    You can go through Graniteville to get around it, or take the scenic route from Jackson Meadows Res.

    That area(Downieville)is getting so overan by rafting/cycling, you'll need to find an out of area place to call home.

    I popped in there about a month ago, just to fish, it's not the same anymore, over populated.

    You could climb away from Gold Lake to Summit Lake, but not too great there as it is very hard if possible to get to water there and no fish! Dusty as wheelers go by.
