I'm the proud (so far) new owner of a 2019 Offroad. However, one thing I noticed was the engine is MUCH louder than by '05 4runner. I've read a number of opinions on here around this and was hoping for some that relate to this specific year/make/model. Is this normal and I just need to get used to it, or is it a cause for alarm. I'm not even close to being a mechanic. :)

It also seems that when I look to accelerate quickly, it jumps a bit.

It also came to me with the TPS light on so figure I'm going to need to bring it in, just trying to determine if I should go to my normal mechanic to get it looked at, or the dealership. It has 32k on it so should have a standard warranty remaining until 36k.

    Appreciate any opinions.

The cabs of these trucks aren’t exactly the quietest. Hard to know what you might consider loud, but I definitely can hear my engine running. Search for sound proofing and you’ll find a lot of guys opt to sound proof these trucks for a quieter ride. As far as the “jumping” on acceleration, search for “gear hunting” on here. It’s a well known issue the way these trucks are geared and tuned. Lots of people choose to tune their trucks for a smoother ride and better throttle response.
