I searched but didn’t find a thread started yet for the all new Ram. Here’s a couple of pics.

I was exhausted after reading all the new stuff they have done to this truck, a lot of it impressed me. So for those of you who enjoy reading up on trucks here is your link:
    https://www.allpar.com/trucks/ram/2018-1500.html

I will retain the current V6 and Hemi V8, both of which will be available with mild hybrid systems. Everything is new from the ground up so you’ll have to read that article to get the full scoop. I am certainly impressed though.

Nice trucks but I'll be damned if I ever own a Chrysler ever again. I've had two Jeeps as of recent and both were great..when they weren't at the dealer. Chrysler is the reason I now own a Toyota.

My family has had a good experience with Ram trucks, I grew up around them so I am a little partial to Ram even with their troubled history.

I believe that Ram under ownership of Fiat is being taken in a better direction. I’m interested in seeing Toyota’s response since the Tundra is quite outdated.

My tacoma is outdated. That was the draw to it. It works. I get what your saying and not arguing. Just had multiple bad experiences with Chrysler.

We have Ram 1500s as patrol vehicles and I'm very impressed. They all have roughly 65k miles on them and 7-8k IDLE HOURS. My uncle that does hot shot hauling (very loyal Ram owner) has 250k miles on his truck with around 200 idle hours by comparison. We had some issues with oil coolers when we first got them but other than that they have been trouble free. If I was in the market for a 1500 I wouldn't look anywhere else. I keep a close eye on the auto industry and no one can hold a candle to Ram Jeep Dodge when it comes to going out on a limb with a new model. It's a blast seeing what they come up with. It's like whoever is over the design/concept department just said the hell with it, do whatever you want. And they do.

The Tundra gets abismal mpg, that’s something that really needs improvement

New Rebel has optional coil suspension instead of air, and now has an e-locker...

Smaller rear end would fix that easy.

The Rebel is a neat truck, that just got alot cooler. I wish they offered the 6.4 in it...

Before I bought my Tacoma I was really into the power wagon and wanted to buy one, just couldn’t pull the trigger cause of the price. I could have bought it, but really didn’t wanna pay around $900 a month or more for it. I still want one in the future, just gonna have to get rid of some credit cards and other bills first. Maybe after I pay off this Tacoma.

I work with a guy that bought one, it's a cool truck but man they are high. If I was in the market for a Power Wagon I would probably just buy a decently equipped diesel and add the goodies after the fact. A Tradesman package truck has way more gadgets than most all Tacomas and you can score some great deals on them depending on what time of year you buy.

Then it would have even less power

Looking a little further into it, and there is going to be an off-road package offered on most of the models that will include an inch suspension lift, 33" tires on 18 or 20" inch rims and an e-locker. It will be interesting to price one out against the Rebel.

I've second guessed getting my Tacoma instead of a full size many times, and the new Ram might just push me over the edge....

I wouldn't second guess it too much, your Tacoma will hold its value much better. With so many new components on this truck I would be wary at first as to what initial issues may surface in the first couple of years. It could be rock solid, or it could have its fair share of problems.

I won’t be doing anything for a while. The resale on the Taco is one thing that can’t be replaced, but the truck is too small. I will probably keep it for another 6mos-1year. I may wind up keeping it and getting a cheap van or SUV too. Who knows...I’m pretty fickle...

They don't look half bad, finally getting away from that gawd awful semi-truck inspired front end.

Where exactly on the old trucks is the semi-truck resemblance?
