So ive had the truck for a couple weeks now, and i only noticed this when i dont have music playing couple days ago. When im on D and on a stop, i hear a rattle noise coming from the engine bay seems like. it disappears if im on Park. i checked every heat shield and whatnot and still cant seem to find this damn rattle. i searched on the forums and some people seem to have the same problem in their trucks. i tried their fixes but i still hear mine. what and where could this rattle be in the engine bay?

Funny enough, i did found the problem...i managed to replicate the rattle noise when i close the driver side door, so then i opened my engine bay and started slamming my fist(just small love taps) on things LOL and i got the sound louder by slamming my fist on top of the radiator and so i looked down and it turns out its the damn skid pad! on the driver side, the skid pad was making contact on a frame even the slightest small tap, it rattles like crazy. so temporarily i put a thick enough piece of rubber in between and its gone! whew! didnt really wanna go to the dealership or any shops for something like this lol

Can you please go into detail? I'm having a similar problem and it's driving me bonkers...

My skid plate is bolted up tight?

Make sure its not the heat shield welds that have come apart.
