What I read is 8.6” stock. That’s only 1” lower than the Tacoma and 4Runner in stick configuration.

Dig the light bar and big old school rally circle lights (would get in yellow LED) hopefully can do someday. Do run Michelin tires on the subi. Best little simple driving car that sticks to the road.

Wife drives ours. I have a 3rd beater Yota that’s my commuter (MT - FWD)

There are all kinds of videos and commercials showing stock CUV's running a lot of Moab. Is a Tacoma better off road? Sure. But, Rubicons are better off road than a Tacoma. Raptors are better desert running. Point is, there is always something "better" the key is what is best for you.
FWIW I have taken my wife's CRV over many mild trails and even a bit of rock. Handled it ok with no damage.

I tried to convince my wife to get one, but she ultimately went with a Civc Hatch. To be fair, I also wanted her to get a manual Mazda MX-5, a Golf GTI, or a Ford Transit. I can’t understand why she never takes me seriously about cars.

Now, the RAV4 Adventure is no substitute for a vehicle such as a Jeep Wrangler. But the model’s 8.6 inches of ground clearance (0.2 inch more than lesser LE and XLE grades) and 3,500-pound maximum towing capacity (2,000 pounds more than all other RAV4 trims) make it the most appealing RAV4 of the lot for light trail work or weekend jaunts with a small boat or camper in tow.

Don’t get me wrong, I really like it, but your measurement sources are wrong. They must have done it without the ‘skid’ plate cover on or something because ours is 2” shorter. No biggey though, it’s my wife’s car and she probably won’t be taking it much off any dirt road that isn’t graded.

My Pops has a NuCamp T@b that he goes with his 2004 Prerunner. The new Rav may be perfect for him and my stepmom to go traveling around in. Really wouldn’t want him risking dinging up his retirement rig.

No, it’s been a 6+ year project. It’s a 1953 GMC 3/4 ton regular cab he picked up. Took it to a shop in PHX to have the work done. The boxed and braced the frame. Then cut the cab and hammer welded in the pieces to extend it. He’s running a LS3 in it, it’s the Connect and Cruise combo from Chevy Performance and has had a custom interior done on it. It’s not even finished yet and should be ready to roll by May.
