I'm feeling dumb. Finally replacing the rear plastic crap with a steel Apogee Offroad bumper. I got the one with all rear sensors, so they put the holes in it, etc.

But now that I have my original bumper & receiver off, I'm stumped as to where the actual sensors are in the old bumper! I thought it would be little round plastic thingies but my bumper is smooth all the way. So then I thought it would be behind the plastic and the waves go through and work the same, but I can't find them at all.

Does the TRD Sport not have backup sensors? It *does* have the BSM sensors...I think...but now I can't find those either. I never really thought about it. When I back up the camera comes on but I don't recall hearing any "beeping" or anything like that.

Can someone post a picture of their 2019 rear bumper and show me the sensors please?

A bit more googling and it seems that perhaps those sensors are only in the "technology package" so I'm assuming I don't have that. Wonder if I can add it afterwards? Hmmm...

The 2021 AC Sport out front of my place has "Parking assist" as part of the Technology package. That is a "sound wave (SONAR)" based system with sensors in the rear bumper. Two each "center", and two each "corner".

Round buttons about 30mm diameter from the outside.

I have the technology package. It's on each corner of the bumper.

So, I'm stupid and bought a bumper with the sensor holes, I thought I even had BSM but guess not. Anyone have a source for little black plastic buttons I could use to pop in them so I don't drive around with little holes in my new bumper by chance?

With the weight savings of those holes you can put on full skids without penalty!

I know this because I just went down this road. The blind spot monitor is attached to the rear bumper side stay, which is located behind the rear bumper extension (the corner part we see).
