Getting ready to start the install of my stereo in my 19 TRD offroad SBDC, I have been gathering stuff since I bought the truck, still have a couple things to buy though....

I will be running the stock headunit

    parts list
    JL Audio Fix86 w/ DRC-205 remote
Stinger 10 Farad pro digital cap
    Orion XTR 350.4
    Orion XTR 1500.1
JL Audio C2-350x in dash(definitely had to modify to make room
JL Audio C2-690tx 6x9s going in the front doors
JL Audio c2-650 component set going in the back doors
Skar EVL-65 6.5" subwoofer-going to do 3 behind the seat in a ported box
Stinger Road Kill 6x9 foam fast rings
Stinger Road Kill 6.5" foam fast rings
Kilmat 80 mil sound deadening mat- have about 120 SQ FT
Noico RED 150 mil closed cell foam sound deadening material - about 45 SQ FT

I will be gutting the truck and sound deadening the whole thing. The C2-350X dash speakers are going to be ran off the deck power, 6x9s and 6.5s will be ran off the XTR 350.4. Of course the XTR 1500.1 will be pushing the 6.5" subs.

I will be mounting the AMPs, CAP, Fix86 and the 6.5" component crossovers in the rear underseat compartment.

I will definitely be posting pics as i get started!

I spoke with Crutchfield today because I too want the JL C2-690tx 6x9's in the front door however, they will not quite fit according to the dude I talked to.. Said the door panel would be in the way bc the speaker protrudes out about 0.12 inches.

They also say the Kicker KS won’t fit for the same reason, and there are dozens of members running those without issue (myself included)
If you find a forum member using them, then you should be all set. Everybody gets something wrong now and then. Impossible to be perfect in this industry for sure

It might be worth removing the door card and checking to see if there is any 'support' or riser plastic that can be trimmed or sanded away from behind the factory grill built into the door card. 0.12" really isn't that much material to shave away.

It would be great if you took a lot of photos and documented the full tear down.... but that itself is a lot of work! Good luck! This is something I will be doing in the future.

How’d this work out for you? I’m looking at those jl 6x9’s for the front and am curious if you get them to fit.
