Yea selling the stock unit seems like a good idea if you make your money back. Did you consider any other units that fit perfectly? This seems to be the only one I’ve found on her that fits perfectly with no additional trim.

I just saw the update for the Joying Corolla head unit... I can't seem to figure out which files to use. I was wondering if I could get some assistance. One of their older updates required the install of a MCU file, where as the newest does not. Can I go straight from the current to the newest or do I need to go 1 update at a time?

Go into system info and check the MCU version.

1)If your head unit is G32 version and your MCU version is lower than 2019-9-7, you need to update the MCU file and OS file one by one.

If your head unit is G32 version and your MCU version is higher than 2019-9-7, you only need to update the OS file.

2)If your head unit is G23 version, no matter which MCU version date you have, you do not need to update the MCU file. only update the OS file.

I'm not seeing the model I bought listed on the firmware page.

Yeah, they dont put all the model numbers in there for some reason, you should be able to match the cpu and resolution to get the correct firmware. Im pretty sure I used the top one on the page.

Random reboots when I start the truck, disconnects and frequent inability to connect to the Zlink app. I think most of the problems are with the app, as a lot of the time closing it out and reopening will fix it.

I also think I'm going to delete Youtube if possible so that bastard stops autolaunching.

Ah, yeah. Hope it fixes your issues.

Also, after the initial magic wore off of having youtube and youtube tv on my dash, I deleted all video players. No reason to have any of them for me.

One of the newer features that mine didnt have is the button light adjustment. When I first got my unit, it only had preselected colors to chose. They rolled out a RGB adjuster so I can tune them perfect for my lights.

The upgrade process was simple, but setting things back up was a bit of a pain. I had the RGB adjuster before, but do you know what the specific values are now that I have to do it again?

I can check in a little bit what I have, but it may be different for you... but it will give you a good starting point.

It's hard to match in the daylight but I think my numbers right now are 213 blue and 23 green.

All the update did was make Zlink not connect every time. Have to close the app and start over.

I think I’ll eventually get a standard unit with this size screen. The Android stuff is nice, but not at the expense of usability.

I understand that. While I love the look and feel of the headunit, I just wish the insides were a little bit better, or there was a better interface for everything.

I believe I have found the source of my issues, and it's the bluetooth connection. It could be that it's a bug of iOS 14 Beta, but I've found that when it won't launch CarPlay it is because the bluetooth connection to JY-Android isn't working. Toggle BT, manually connect and it's good to go.

I still can't set a proper boot logo though, I've followed the instructions to place in certain a certain folder and it just doesn't see it.

Just purchased this off Amazon last night. A few questions for you if you can answer. Do I need anything to connect my Note 10 to this head unit? Any adapters for USB? Is it fine using it without android auto? What do you need the SIM card for? Also, last question, you mentioned a data card for the maps, do I need to order one of those or can I use the one in my current head unit? Sorry I'm late to the party with a zillion questions..
