Ya too much frustration and hassle with this unit in my opinion. I just recently grabbed one of the Stinger Offroad Tacoma specific kits. If you have an AT then it is 100% plug and play, if you have a MT, there is 1 wire that you have to mess with for the reverse trigger. Other than that, everything just works.

Anyone have an issue with audio cutting out when using the steering wheel controls with android auto...it looks like upon using the steering wheel controls it defaults to the stock head unit phone dialer...anyone figure out a work around ?

Edit: The product page does say wired or wireless.. Hmm..

Edit #2: Looks like Joying has very recently released new FW. I'm going to download it and update the unit

I'll be damned. The latest fw update added carlink 2.0 and wireless android auto is now working. Sweet!

I don't really recommend it. It's ok, does the job for the most part, but the things I've complained about before with it still hold true. The touchscreen is pretty bad for scrolling or trying to pinch to zoom. Also android auto lags quite a bit. When using it my music skips pretty frequently, at least a few times on any given drive. I tend to just use the bluetooth audio and leave maps on my phone. The head unit doesn't skip if I run it like that (no android auto).
