to piggy back on this, the cabin is stamped the same for the double cabs either with or without a hole so they all fit the chassis the same way. the only way to add the hardware is to add it to the inside of the cabin. the roof height is the same regardless if it has/not have a hole in the cabin top. its too much of a nightmare to get crash certs with different cabin construction/layouts. add in a moonroof and you add another dimension for crash tests.

edit : that's why you see different crash ratings for like the tundra/f150/etc between the double cabs and crew cabs.

there was a big fiasco with I think the f150 since the crew cab fared worse in crash tests than the double cab due to a different structural member in the front.

I'm glad I'm in your "small" percentage of Pro owners who wouldn't want that thing.

Just an observation in my area, and entirely not exclusive, nor all-inclusive, to Pro owners.

Id say it better applies to the whole spectrum of taco owners. As much as I love the taco, I see a lot of them with silly stuff.

    We’re used to it.
    But, for the record:
I am disappointed to hear the snorkel may be standard. Once army green rolls around, I was planning on trading.

    Yeah, you are not wrong.

Is army green coming? I like Quicksand, but it's not for me. Army green I could definitely do.

Ironically, I think green would not look bad with the snorkel. :D

waiting 2 more years till lease runs out on my rav4 then im gonna get me a trd sport again in cement hopefully if they don't axe that color by 2020.i think the truck might be a gen 5 by that point too so I will have to look at one to see if it has body changes.

Eventually, they’ll roll it out, as it was an fj color. All the pro colors come from that pallet. They may need to sooner to sell more pros, if they are making that ugly snorkel standard.
They could at least make it look better. I think snorkels look better on T4Rs, anyway.

my bad I meant gen 4 because it would be 4 years since gen 3 was out so they usually change the models around the fourth year or so

I thought that ridiculous Snorkle was going to be an Option in America.

If the snorkle becomes standard, Yota shot themselves in the foot.

Hate the look of that “limp dick” on a fender/pillar....

I kinda like the Calvalry Blue, and if I'm reading things properly, it'll be coming to the lower trims? I've been kicking around going from an AC to DC, so a Cavalry Blue SR-5 would be enough to push me over the edge.

Its a bit weird because in most other car cultures, he who has the uppermost trim, gets the most cuddos.
