This happened to my 2019 Tacoma yesterday. I have the radar cruise control sensors...not sure if those were destroyed yet. There were 2 body panels crushed, the front left wheel twisted off, the mirror destroyed, and the front left headlight destroyed. Wondering a general price range to fix all this.

Won’t your insurance give you the estimate price? Or are you trying to compare price part for part?

Do you have any pictures under the hood by chance?

I doubt any sensors were damaged, but the fender apron and a-pillar would be things I'd like to see. Still, you'll need to get a local estimate.

My US collision insurance is not covering this incident because it happened in Mexico. My Mexican insurance is not covering it either due to specific circumstances. My US gap insurance is not covering it because the US insurance claim is ineligible.

Judging by the wheel I’d say there’s some frame damage buried under all that. Hard to say without a shop looking at it.

I don't get it, you have insurance in both countries, and neither will cover?
That's just nuts, hopefully you were traveling for work, and your employer will cover, because that truck has more than bolt-on damage. Don't look to TW for an estimate, get it to a good auto body shop.

Sadly it sounds about right. When I travel down to Mexico I don’t even get the insurance cause I already know that’s how they work

when your cheap mexican prostitute steals your truck keys then takes it on a joy ride and crashes into another vehicle it can cause insurance companies to deny your claim.

Based on my rough estimate looking at the damages, using all new original Toyota parts and Toyota USA retail pricing, I'd estimate it to be about $8,500 assuming there is no damage to the hood and/or headlight. Add in those and you're looking at about $11,000. Also assuming no frame damage, but that includes the knuckle, upper/lower control arms and hub/bearing/axle.

Made a bunch of assumptions though, since I can't see everything or measure anything. A lot of these pieces can be found used or aftermarket which would bring down the price substantially. Labour rates vary heavily depending on location, and you can certainly find the parts for cheaper than retail.

It’s the same everywhere. My wife was an insurance adjuster and the MO for her office was “never pay out unless there is no other option”

OP. I would say that is upwards of $8000 damage.

Note to self: trailer damaged vehicles back to the US before saying squat to insurance company. Oh, and no more tequila and hookers.
