    I’m going to guess totaled or very close to. If you are using OEM parts and depending on the labor rate of the body shop this is probably close to $18-$20k

    These sort of repairs add up quickly

    I'd probably just leave the truck in Mexico and tell the bank where they can find it. Is California a no-recourse state?

    It sounds like you had liability coverage once you reached the border crossing, and depending on your route that was somewhere between 11 hours to 18 hours (one way) driving to get to Guadalajara, on just liability insurance. :eek:Thats a huge gamble, I'm sorry that it bit you in the butt.

    The option I would probably take is to repair only the frame damage there in Mexico, drive it back home, and then hit up a junkyard for the body panels. Either that or try to sell it on the spot for a the best price you can get, and take the loss.
