Yea I thought so, just figured I'd check again. Looks like I'll have to upgrade the head unit to achieve this and that kinda sucks. Lots of good options though - I just don't really NEED it so I can't justify it. I'll continue using my phone where it's mounted.

Update on the update: The Entune app is no longer needed, only the Toyota app. The procedure that worked for me:

    1. Download Toyota app
    2. Delete Entune app
    3. In Toyota app: My Garage - choose your vehicle
    4. Connect To App Suite - press Get More Information
    5. Link whatever apps you want (I use LiveXLive and iHeart and Destination Search)
    6. Start Truck, and wait for stereo to boot
    7. Open an app (iHeart for example). There will be an error about the app not running.
    8. Press Connect in the Toyota app

This seems to be working. When I get in the truck, Live X Live resumes right where I left off without requiring a touch of the app.

HOWEVER, a new bug has appeared: If I try to listen to audio from Safari via Bluetooth input (live church service for example) and then touch the volume knob, my iTunes music plays. This is way louder than the Safari content and it's annoying. Clearly, adjusting the volume on the head unit triggers playback of the Music app on the phone, interrupting the Safari audio I had playing.

The Toyota App won't let me in to the apps .... I've checked the phone... installed and removed the app multiple times...
started and stopped bluetooth ... added and removed the phone from my truck...

    anyone have any more ideas...??

I'm still having the issue with my phone auto connecting to entune. I now have to manually start the app on my phone and link everytime in order to even use the apps.
