Can a TRD Pro grille be put on a 2019 Tacom TRD Off-Road? I was told by the parts department that the sensors would not match up. Is this correct?

It should work, the sensor might be slightly lower but it will still work however when you go into a dealer and they notice it they'll make you sign a waiver saying "they aren't responsible for any failures cause its not the correct grille and they can't guarantee it" blah blah blah typical dealer BS. I went from a SR5 to Pro grille on my 2018 with 0 issues.

How hard is it to install the Pro grille?

I'm sure somebody here installed a Pro Grille on a 2019, but until then you can check the parts fiche online and see if the numbers are the same as the 2018. I put a TacoGarage TRD Pro Grille on my 2018 2 weeks ago and the Sensor attaches to the grille using 3 screws (2 nuts have to be transferred from the slots in the old grille). 1 of the clips on the cable is not reused (I just cut it off), but the cable reaches without binding and the sensors have not thrown any error.

I have 0 mechanical skills, and I had no issues installing it within an hour n half. There's a lot of videos on youtube on the process that I followed

The hard part is pulling the grille from the valance... lots of screws and tabs (the clips could use a second set of hands). Once the old grille is out, just snap the new one in (make sure the tabs are fully seated... I had to tug on one with a pair of pliers), then bolt it back up. Plenty of videos show the R&R, but they usually skim over the tabs.

I have a 2019 TRD Off-Road and I installed a TRD Pro grille. Super easy install and as long as you have the TSS Sensor garnish, you'll be in good shape.

2019 Sport with a Taco Garage grille. Took about thirty minutes, make sure you put something down to protect the painted surround.

Just installed mine yesterday after work. Looks great! Will check to see if it affects the TSS today.

Just out of curiosity, did you go with the OEM Garnish or the aftermarket? (I had a tough time with this one and decided to save the money and it looks and works just fine)

I went with the aftermarket. At the time, they were out of the OEM's. Headed to the gym at lunchtime, so we'll see how it goes.

I didn't think there would be... there really isn't much to the garnish... it's just plastic
