    Hello everyone,

I recently got the P11EC code on my Tacoma. It's getting worked on right now but I was wondering for the people that have gotten this code and gotten the cylinder head machined or replace, did the issue ever come back?

Did your truck drive differently after it was fixed?

    Thanks.

Use the search function in the top right for that code. Unfortunately its somewhat 'common' with a few large threads dedicated to it. Seems most guys fix it and keep on going from what I've read

Thank you! I have read through as many as I could but I guess it'll take a while before we find out if this will be a recurring issue.

I had about 37,XXX miles on it before CEL came on. I left it at the dealer covered under warranty in December 2023. Got it back February 2024. It was leaking gas and took it back. Finally driving it again and seems to drive better than before.
Some of the running concerns prior to getting the code:
    rough idle
    rough/bumpy/hesitation driving at about 1400-1500 rpm 45-55mph
rough shifting coming to a stop sign

dealer service agent said all those symptoms were normal until the Check engine light came on.

I've driven it through 2 cycle of gas now and no issues so far. Hope it stays that way.

Seems to be most common in the 2017-2019’s. Though not super common either way. Usually happens around 40-50k from what I’ve read. And not sure exactly how true it is, but I heard it was a large batch of heads that weren’t machined correctly and were causing the valve seats to burn up.
