So my truck was recently involved in an accident, my neighbor hit the side of it and just rocked my truck. I was able to get some new wheels and as I was driving something felt off, road feels very bumpy and just doesn’t drive how it use to. I’ve noticed the rear passenger tire sticks out more but I’ve also been hearing that this is common, can someone please help me out here

Have you gotten the frame and suspension properly assessed after the wreck? Do you have post-wreck alignment numbers?

I believe it’s the driver side that should be sticking out more like actually, since my rear tires usually stick out more than the front. Not sure, give me some advice. Wheels are 17x9 -25 offset on 285/70/17 tires

Same tires and the wheels are exactly the same as my old ones, just a new set.

Did you set your tire pressure or left it after installation from the tire shop? My local tire shop and my closest Toyota dealer are habitual over-inflators.

    Where was the impact?
These plastic beds will move and can be realigned by loosening hardware.

it is true that a lot of cars/trucks have one side sticking out further then the other. I noticed it on my tacoma when i got 1 inch spacers and saw that one side stuck out more then the other. it was apparent now because the fenders werent hiding the uneveness anymore. I had to get .75inch spacers for one side and keep the 1 inch spacers on the other. my the passenger side was sticking out more if i remember right. however, did you have your truck inspected after the accident? youre making it sound like the guy hit you, you put on new wheels and called it a day...thats pretty unusual and not the proper way to assess the situation. I would have took it to toyota, told them what happened and see what they could find in the inspection. your rear wheel set up could be messed up or maybe your truck bed is misaligned now.

Where was the hit? The black mark on the passenger bumper cover in the pic?

If yes, I'd wager the bed shifted. The gap between the bed and the cab should would also be off.

It’s been a nightmare with the insurance and caliber collision process but yes a lot of this has been looked up this will be my 3rd time taking it back, but this is definitely new I know everything about my truck and this is something I’ve never seen before

Sit inside the truck and look in your side mirrors and concentrate on where the bed and cab gap is, is each side the same?
My bed was not aligned right from factory and had to adjust myself.

It was it on the driver side, the back driver side wheel should be like the passenger

95% of time it's the bed not centered on frame. A few threads in this. Mine is of .25. Many others are same way. My passenger side is same. Just haven't had time to correct it. My 2nd gen was same way.

Being more specific where the hit was would help.

My truck was originally at the shop for a month they reconditioned my wheels and they were way off from the passenger side so they bought me new ones, I took it back last week to get the new wheels they bought since they ruined my old ones and now I’ve noticed this
