Dealer visit completed. Incident logged. Service writer had never heard of (or seen) of this issue in the past.

He viewed the screenshot from my phone, and confirmed he hadn't seen anything like that. He took a detailed report, I spent two hours enjoying the dealership's A/C, and enjoyed some YouTubeTime.

Sum of all parts was...they scanned for fault codes, incident codes...aaaand nothing. Service technician did ask if it was "hot" when the incident occured..and it was. About 117* external temp, which would probably put the cab/dash temp around 130 ish. He didn't offer anything other than heat could have contributed to the white screen.

So, I suppose I feel better? Issue logged under warranty, so if it does repeat I have something to fall back on.

I had my dash flicker when I turned the truck off...it turned out my 12volt Amazon phone charger was sending egress into the truck's electronics to cause it

I for one embrace technology. To all the people who whine and bitch about it, why don't you guys turn in your smart phones for flip phones or stick to land line phones all together?

Do you have anything in the 12v plugs? As somebody mentioned that can cause issues.

I was using a USB adapter to my gopro and it was feeding back into the truck and kept telling me the truck was on when it wasn't lol.

It wouldn't be the first problem they've had with this combo/multimeter thingy. Me and a lot of other folks got theirs replaced under warranty for a different reason (it would constantly/randomly reset its values: trip meters, etc.).

So it's not unthinkable that this a problematic component.

I'm not going to lie. I was just looking for mine the other day for my kids to play with. The last time I found it and took it out, about 5 years ago, it charged right up and connected to the phone service. After a full charge, it stayed in standby mode for the next week.
