Patience grasshoppers, the 2019 Pro deals are coming towards the end of the year. 2020 Tacoma’s start production this month and will be hitting dealerships in September/October. Once August hits it always means the year is almost over. Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner.

In the word of Audi, suspension upgrades (Stasis engineering) is the go to suspension mod. One of the worst decisions was upgrading the stock Audi suspension to the tuners suspension. I learned a hard lesson about voiding warranties and the problems that came with it. That was the last suspension upgrade I’ve done car or truck. if are the type of guy to mod suspension do it after the factory warranty is over.

I definitely get the wisdom here. I have a lowered Audi, and a lifted Tacoma. The Tacoma hasn't given me suspension issues yet, but I had an episode with the Audi where there was an issue that neither the shop that installed my suspension nor the dealership could figure out, and both pointed the finger of responsibility toward the other. If the Pro suspension gives one all that they need from a performance standpoint, there is definitely peace of mind in knowing that the burden is solely on the dealership if issues do arise. And I've never had an aftermarket suspension that, even when functioning well, didn't snap crackle and pop more than I would like.

I had my beloved 2007 Audi RS4. I had to fuck w it so I installed the Stasis suspension. It was garbage. STASIS mahde several refunds for owners modding with Stasis repaired. Stasis actually paid many owners as quality issues were a real issue.

    The only other brand that offers a full factory warranty on their off-road suspension that I am aware of is Ford’s Raptor. The TRD Pro suspension from the factory;

UP FRONT: 2.5-inch FOX coil-overs are paired with TRD springs for a higher ride height.

OUT BACK: 2.5-inch FOX remote reservoir shocks are paired with TRD leaf springs.

    Too few to list.
Largest in the world. Last time I was there I was told they have over 3K in stock.

Not the same level pro hate, but basically the same logic. TL:DR is something like “I got the SR5. Ecsuse I was gonna upgrade the suspension and saved a bunch of money by modding the way I wanted to”

I think the pro is nice and the upgrades are worth it if you can negotiate below msrp like you can on other trim levels.

Paying a 10k market adjustment is nuts. You are paying 10k for air.

I've been monitoring a couple of the SoCal dealers that have these big Pro inventories. They haven't changed much at all since the OP, so the trucks are still sitting there despite incentives. I used the "get ePrice" function on a couple a few weeks, so they keep sending me updates. I'm passively at about 10% off of MSRP as of today. I'm actually giving some serious consideration to moving from my OR to the PRO, as I've made a few mods that I wish I'd done differently, and the thought of starting from scratch with less to do sounds appealing.

Apple CarPlay and Power seats are huge selling points (regardless of your own personal use case). It would be stupid to buy a 2019 now.

Not if those features don’t matter to you. I’m perfectly comfortable in my manual Tacoma seats and could care less about CarPlay or Google. I’m sure there are more like me out there.

I'm sure that you also know that delinquent number only equals 6.5% of all car loans with half of those loans being subprime borrowers. The auto industry is not about to pop.

I'm guessing that those mark ups on Pros will be back in play on the 2020s, in addition to the increase in MSRP. So we're talking probably $10K - $15K difference between a 2020 and the current discounts on the 2019. Carplay is something I'd use the shit out of, but not for $10K+. This is assuming you want a Pro to begin with.

I would have bought the pro because I love the looks and features but needed a long bed so OR it was .... I’ve added many of the pro features so in the end it’ll cost me about the same.

I've been riding manual tacos for 10 years and never seen bumper to bumper traffic.
Yup. I'm on my 3rd taco with manual. I pay to ship them in 500+ miles away. They're snapped up where I live.

Which SoCal dealership is offering 10% off sticker? That would translate to to roughly $4,700 off MSRP.

My prediction is the 2020 Tacoma Pro will be getting the same price increase as a Tundra Pro (almost $2,800).

The fact that they try to jack up the price 10k (at least here in ny) and have that stupid snorkel installed was an automatic deal breaker for me, especially knowing wheels and tires were coming off and it was getting lifted anyway.
