Hello all. Just wanted to post a few pics of my spacer lift on my pro. Installed is the Procomp Nitro 65205K. This kit was put on by 4wheelparts after I worked the lift into the dealer purchase deal. Their website says this kit is not compatible to the pro but they assured me the website was wrong and put the kit on. It rode like crap after the install and had a nasty Cali lean. I upgraded the wheels and tires and nothing changed (not surprised), I took it back and had a 2 inch block installed today versus the 1 inch block in the rear end and it vastly helped the ride quality. Now I’m concerned about the rubbing on the springs. The kits been on for a couple weeks with the 1 inch rear block and I can already feel the plastic coating on the front springs rubbing off. By switching to the 2 inch block in the rear will this help fix this? What needs to be done to fix this? UCA’s? Am I safe to run the truck with my current setup for the time being to save some coin? Any advice would be appreciated.

It looks great but I can't tell if you are satisfied. Sounds like it doesn't ride so good and the springs are getting rubbed pretty bad?

Maybe the literature that said it wasn't meant for the PRO was correct?

Literally the fucking website said it’s not compatible with your truck.

    what are you doing ...

idk what’s worst. A spacer lift.. or the quality of the photos you gave us.

Take the spacer lift off my man.

I am puzzled. Buyers spend the extra coin to purchase a Pro because of the awesome Fox suspension that’s been factory engineered, durability tested to meet Toyota’s standards and falls under the bumper to bumper warranty. Why spend even more money to violate the warranty and get a crappy ride?

Get rid of the spacers. Ride the setup til you get something like icon, kings, etc that actually gives you proper height adjustment to go with the shock travel. You definitely get some cash back selling these factory fox shocks.

Remove the spacers and see how well It rides. I wouldn’t have installed a different suspension on a TRD pro let alone spacers. The pro models come from the factory ready to go and are very capable trucks utilizing the FOX suspension. If you wanted to modify I would have saved some major coin and gotten an SR5, then gone with 5100’s, OME springs and a AAL system. Which is as cheap as you can get while getting a decent suspension.

The warranty was not voided....if you read the post you would have read the fact that the Toyota dealership had the lift done. They outsourced the work but by default are now responsible for the outsourced work and warranties are not voided as such. I verified before anyone touched the truck. I‘m not a total moron....

But thanks for all the hating and not actually giving constructive pointers towards the questions I asked in the first place...

Enjoy it and don’t worry. If the rubbing on the spring still happens, go down to 2.5” on the front.

    Welcome
You're getting heat, because you'll probably end up removing what you paid so dearly for, the suspension.
It's your truck, so do what makes you happy; unfortunately it sounds like you are unhappy, which is a shame. It's a nice truck, I'd get it to a reputable off road shop for a proper lift.

Take off cheap lift that can potentially ruin your nice suspension?

Take a very close look at the rear shocks. When you use a spacer lift in the back the body of Fox shock will come into contact with the rear diff tube as the suspension moves down. Everytime it hits, it will put a bend in the upper mount of the shock at the top and the shock will eventually fail. We had a guy come onto the shop that did exactly what you did and wanted warranty for the damaged rear fox shocks. Warranty was denied. He ended up buying two new Fox shocks. I ended up taking the lift out and realigning the truck.

Unfortunately Toyota is not going to be responsible for this. Your dealer is.
    Big difference.

No other dealer will touch this.
