O3 Tacoma. Manual hubs Bilstein 5100 in OME 885 springs. Rear Wheeler off road 5 leaf springs. Northwest trails innovation winch bumper & 10k winch. TRD rear elocker and front 7.5 truetrac limiter slip. Built 2.7 3rz, balanced, 1mm bored, 9.75-1 compression, LC cam, 1mm oversized valves, LC 35 lb flywheel & LC clutch, ported head, balance shaft delete, bored throttle body, header & 2.5” exhaust.
    Hey guys
I picked up my 19 TRD Pro yesterday. I had worked with the dealer to source aftermarket bumper winch lights and a few other mods. I had them put on 265/75/16
    Duratrac’s.

I had bought the SPC UCA with the adjustable ball joint. The dealer didn’t install them. They gave a lame excuse of not being able to remove the long UCA bolt without pulling the Cab. Idk it sounded like a bs story to me. I have the SPC,s on my 03 Taco set at 4deg caster and love how it goes down the road. Will investigate this more... and update later.

I left the Eugene stealership and went right to Shotgun creek to hit the muddy logging roads and try to find some snow. Was also going to plink with my .357 but got busy being a big kid I forgot . First impression was it rides so nice and eats up bumps & potholes with the Pro suspension. Very impressed. Second is that I’m going to immediately get the OV 1.05 tune as this thing is a dog in the hills constantly having to shift down if you catch yourself under 2500 rpms (6 speed manual tr ) cruises nice on the highway but just doesn’t have much ass low end. I’m used to the 35lb LC flywheel I put in my 03 3rz carrying me thru the hills.

Besides the OV tune I’m going to work with my buddy “Zuk” @ZUK ( Ken ) over At gearinstalls.com
to put a Harrop locker in the front.

I also am going to have to mod the TRD skid plate to tie it into the ARB bumper.

The SPC's can be installed, just need to pry the inner fender by the engine bay towards the outside of the truck, this needs to be done on both side but the passenger side is the worse. Remove the wire looms connections and your done, a little time consuming but it does get done. I've done it to my truck and a friends.....

    Truck looks good BTW..Congrats.

@LostHusker Hey man I appreciate it. I work in the oil patch down by Odessa so Maby someday we can hook up and go wheeling in Texas. Is there any write ups here about others 3rd gen guys using the SPC UCAs?

Are you going to add a bit more lift bud? Seems like the front is sagging significantly due to the bumper weight.

Not sure why you need UCAs on the factory suspension. Makes no sense.

Makes perfect sense. I want the 4deg caster that the SPCs allow. I drive thousands of miles a week and going down the road nice is a condition of employment for my vehicles.

@ZUK Yes it will. The muddy red clay in Oklahoma and Texas will be fun but I got this specifically for the drifts in Wyoming and N Dakota. I get paid to wheel :bikewhoops:

I’m going to be on the phone with Wheelers in Grants Pass on Monday @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc to see what they can do to level the Pro suspension. I will make a project out of that and the SPC UCAs all at once.
My favorite shop in Sweet Home O&M tire is quite good at dialing in the front end of Tacos.

    @ALI3N_123
Love it. I’m going to have to millwright the TRD Pro skidplate to the ARB bumper
The TIG on my Miller and my plasma torch I think are going to come in handy.

Might want to up the front spring a bit that nice arb bumper is going to settle those springs down quite a bit. Good looking truck.

We are doing a small wheeling trip in Jan in the kerrville area if you want to join. Dig around the 3rd gen section, plenty of guys are running them, got my set to 2.9 castor as that’s is far as I could get the tech to set it, rides great.

Possibly. I hadn’t done any brain damage on that yet.

easier way on the UCA bolts is to buy new bolts, cut off the old ones, and put them in backwards. Only issue will be drivers side there are some hard lines that need to be pushed out of the way. prevents having to bend sheet metal.

@fergsonfire sounds like a great way to millwright it ( I’m in the millwright union too and work for them when the oil patch is slow ) I will have that 6” skinny wheel throwing sparks everywhere!
I will talk to @wheelers off road inc tomorrow if they are open about the bolts or EBay it up. Thanx a ton. Rip
