    That looks like the cosmoline burning off...not transmission fluid.

    Agreed that does not like transmission fluid. It would be redish. Looks like motor oil. Dealer bro dealer!

    Yeah gear oil from the transfer case...probably should check the bearings in the t-case for excessive play got to be a reason why it failed.
