2019 TRD Pro

I have my eye on a 2019 TRD Pro, 6MT. It has 13,000 miles and only one owner. No issues with it what so ever, perfect condition. The original owner would let it go to me for 40k. What do you guys think? No dealership hassle, taxes and fees.

 

eh not really. 33’s and wheels probably. I’m looking for a new DD so I can SAS my 1st gen Taco on one tons and 40s. So not looking to go crazy on the 3rd gen.

 

No tax? What's KBB worth? Pending what state you live in when you go register the vehicle they'll nail you on the sales tax based upon purchase price.

 

Reason I ended up buying new recently was the cost of used Tacomas. I bought my 2020 MT off-road brand new for less than that. I would have liked a Pro, but the mark up from the OR just wasn't worth it for me. I wouldn't spend that much on a used truck when you can buy new for less money (albeit with some compromises). Your priorities may be different.

 

Have you checked the price of '19 Pros?

I've seen some sub-20k mile '19 Pros at dealerships for under $40k.

 

KBB is just a hair under 40k. So it’s a fair price. I live in Nevada and that’s correct no sales tax on private party. I’ve read the suspension is pretty nice so I probably wouldn’t touch that. Like I said I’d probably only change the wheels and tires. It’s very tempting especially since I would have to go to a dealership.

 

Nevada bases the taxes off the original MSRP, and it’s 35% of that price the first year and the percentage lowers each year after that.

 

Left over 2019 Pros in Va. are going for $38K. Don't go by Kelly Book. Its off and a joke. Go off NADA and Black book. Sometimes NADA will be lower than Black book and vise versa. Banks loan money off NADA and Dealers buy off mostly Black book but if NADA is lower they will show you that price. In NADA the Sport was showing it as a higher retail price than the OR but it changes. I buy and sell lots of vehicles and never use Kelly Book.
