I would guess there is added bracing with the Sunroof

I imagine it has been improved. But I do remember when I young and stupid, I was contemplating a WRX STI about 15 years ago, that's the reason sunroofs were offered on lower grade models, but not the higher end. I think they also add quite a bit of weight.

They are similar, both are bore of a dull blue, and not a bright blue. You think heritage blue would have been on the trail teams, seeing that 2014 had the white grill surround.

Side note, I'm glad I don't work in an interior paint department or paint store. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The customers would drive me crazy with the multiple variation of the same color paint.

I had a 04 WRX that was WWR blue, it was equipped with a sunroof. I was going to trade in for a STI, I believe the STI, was not available with a sunroof.

I think that was about the time I was going to do it. I ended up waiting, getting a 2nd gen Tacoma and kept it 13 years. I made the right call. I would have taken that car to it's limits being that age and having that much car. I would have gotten into trouble for sure.

I'd still get in trouble today with a car like that. In hindsight every vehicle I bought before my Tacoma, should have been a Tacoma, I'd probably have them all today.

Just talked to someone at tmmtx. They start producing the 19 tundra on Saturday. She said they like to space out the model changes. She does not know yet when the taco changes over. Her words..

I have an 18 on the way that has a build date for the 3rd week of August. I would guess not until September for the 19 Tacoma

I just bought a 2018 pro built 7 days ago (on the train now) and the dealer said the last 18 went into production July 25. So the 19s, not much difference, should start anytime, but see Taco? above.

I just got back from the dealer. Ordered a 2019 voodoo blue Pro without the snorkel. He got my last one for me, 2017 cement. He said 3 months. Fingers crossed.

Nice! When you order like that are you basically forced to pay MSRP? Or are you still able to negotiate?

Basically MSRP but he always gives me more for my trade than he should. Totally cool with me taking my OEM audio out.

I think the new Raptor can be had with a panoramic roof. I would like to see the bracing in that. And that needs to be an option in the Tacoma. Along with a rear window that goes up and down Tundra style.

2007 WRX STI Limited came with a sunroof. They made 800?

I remember wanting to get a STI and also wanting a factory sunroof and a delete of the giant rear wing. Then Subaru made the STI Limited and I was like, seriously? Is someone reading my mind? Then I got married, bought a house, and had kids. No STI.

That's sounds about right. The 2018 TRD Pro I'm waiting to be delivered was built on July 27.

So if the cavalry blue is going to the OR/sport trims... is the cement staying on those trims as well?

I on my iPad now so don't have the link to the Chicago auto show, but Toyota said JBL, red TRD lettering on the skid plate and maybe another inch lift. Not sure about the latter. And the snorkel option.

You aren't changing the oil in your truck? Why?
