    Greetings you beautiful people,

I've decided to become a true American and purchase a truck (first ever) - after research and deliberation, I've landed on the stalwart Taco.

With that said, after making the rounds online and at dealers, I believe I've found what I'm looking for; a new 2019 TRDOR DCSB AT in quicksand (a color that gives you a 15% denser beard, from what I hear). This will only have the tow package (assuming that is otherwise a separate option), door sill protectors, and some black badges. I'd love to have the dual zone climate control and heated seats, but can live without them due to the associated price and the requirement of a moon/sun roof, as the cabin headroom is not exactly enormous.

Bottom line is brass tax. I believe the price is good, but I would like to toss this out to the community to verify. This would be collected through a Carmax location and should be around $36,700 out the door; I've attached the info I received.

    Thoughts? Thanks!

That’s a great out the door price. It would be a challenge to get that out the door price here in California.

Im sure lots of people here will have varied opinions on what is considered a good price. Especially based on what part of the country they are in as some prices can vary based on region. 36,700 out the door is not too bad I was able to get my TRDOR 18 long bed in Cement in SoCal for 36,250, took some negotiating but seemed to be a decent price for this area and the demand.

Good for a ‘19 now. You could beat it come September this year....or go find an ‘18 and kick another 1500 off.

10% max off MSRP. Looks good.
Make sure you test drive it 3X before you buy it. Make double damn sure you love it because how it is is how it is. It does not magically give you more power or better handling or more interior headroom or better adjustable seats or a better ride. It is what it is.

Thank you all for your thoughts - much appreciated, as I've been lurking on this site for awhile making up my mind. I've driven another OR and will test this one beforehand as well; very pleased with my impressions and what I would intend to use it for.

All other comments obviously welcome - cheers!

You should be able to get close to that with premium.

Call Simi Valley DCH Toyota.....ask for Brandon....tell him Tom Chambers sent you.....no promises but these guys beat everyone locally....

And a quote from my buddy on Quicksand....."I can't decide if that is cool or Babyshit Tan" ….lol....I'm torn but mine was only available off the lot in Silver Sky Metallic so...…

Let us know how you do there!

    Peace, TC

    Someone say Tom Chambers?
Never in a million years did I think I could find a reason to throw this gif in.

Why aren't there any rebates showing in your printout? I believe there is a $500 or $1000 rebate available on 2019s

So it's like 2002 and I go to Phoenix on biz....

Walk in to the Holiday Inn....dude is looking down at the comp...."Tom Chambers checking in?"...…

Before he can look up he says..."Oh! Mr. Chambers! Welcome!....You are our guest of the day!" (Looks up at ….me.....clearly dejected it's only....me....)……"and....well....we have upgraded you to a suite....and....there's....a....well.....uh...a goodie basket for you."......only damn perk I have ever gotten with the name! lol

The only rebates on 2019's that I've seen (based on Toyota's website) is a college grad and/or military cash back rebate, which neither would apply to me in this case. 2018's do have the rebates you mentioned, but it's been slim pickings on what I would like to purchase in my region.

The college grad rebate makes me mad. Who in their right mind out of college would spend another 36k on a truck, after going 50k+ in debt

Interesting. I was able to get two different $500 rebates on my 2019 just last month. Call your dealer and ask them.

I got in touch with the dealer and, should I choose to finance direct through Toyota, I would be offered 1.9% for 60 months or less; better than the credit unions I've checked. This is an either/or situation with $1k rebates for 18s - no rebates for 19s, at least in my area (Wisconsin). Solid advice though!

Go there and get a written offer and hit every dealer in the area. Extra work? Yes ! I went dealer to dealer and a few I called and said if you email me a better offer I’ll drive 150-200 miles. (2 hr drive in my new truck) so worth it . Take your written offer to Heiser a Toyota and see if they’ll beat it.. hit Racine Toyota.
Don Jacobs and Andrew Toyota also in Milwaukee. If you want a great deal you can get it. Trust me.heres a few in illinois that will send you a offer sheet. Fox lake , illinois, Arlington Toyota, Schaumburg Toyota, Elgin Toyota. You can squeeze more.

How do I know this . I traded my 2 wheel drive Tacoma on a 17 trd sport 4wd and got it for $24k (included my trade)and also saved $1k on taxes with my trade in.

Remember... most dealers need a offer sheet. Test drive, test drive, test drive!
