nope. its part of the "desert air intake package" for an added $750. Looks like they are coming with the moon roof now though

 

Not standard in my region. $725 option on all colors.

 

Mine says add-on option as well. Only Cal Blue available. Red and black are out of stock.

 

Huh! A thread a while back showed it as a standard part on an dealer sheet. Here in the NW Region, that package doesn't even show up. Just weird.

Snorkel only pops up on the automatic for me and is not even an extra on the manual.

In the NW region as well.

 

That must be what I was seeing. I picked the MT. Very strange.

 

Weird, in Albuquerque, only Voodoo Blue. Super White and Black are out of stock, whatever the hell that means. Also no MT. That ought to hurt sales. Still can get a MT on the OR versions.

Looked up offerings in GST territory.... shows all three color choices and AT/MT selections. Each also offers the snorkel as the Desert Air Package. Not sure why other regions not in the mafia would be restricted.

 

I just want to know if they will offer it aftermarket like the TRD exhaust and CAI.

 

The biggest issue is going to be the fender. You're going to be undertaking cuts to the body and inner fender panels. I'd look to the Hilux to see how they handle it. I'd guess it is likely to be like a hood scoop and be a factory, not port item.

 

The configure/build website doesn’t allow a full on, 100% “here is the options” experience.

It will change available colors, cab sizes, trims, drivetrains, options, etc based on what is available on a dealer lot at that time OR what is allocated, built, and in transit at that time.

That’s why options can change when you put different zip codes in.

This is all per Toyota, btw. The build website is designed to put prospective buyers into dealerships. Not to show all possible options and configurations.

 

It looks retarded with 2 air intakes, the scoop is 100% fake and now there is a fake snorkel. I guess Toyota knows most of their US Tacomas are commuter vehicles and are made to look cool in the parking lot at work.
