Went to discount tire *enter large sigh here* and had a set of 2019 take off's to swap on to my 2013. The owner of the 2019 wheels gave me the lug nuts as well when i purchased the wheels. They're still in a box on my shelf at home. When i went to discount the person at the counter mentioned there were a difference in lug nuts between my 2013 and the 2019 wheels that i was going to have them install and i would need to purchase new lug nuts from them. Something along the lines of the 2019 will use a more conical type lug nut to fit the wheel vs a 2013 lug nut that has a flat face.

I chose not to have them balance and swap the wheels due to it being a $125 charge to swap wheels and balance them. So before i swap the wheels over myself using the lugs from the 2013 wheels, i was wondering if anyone was more well versed than i am in this situation to tell me if the lugs are a different style and will/wont work with the wheels

Uhhhh.. If the wheels have flat lug holes then they will require the factory mag seat lugs.

If they have tapered lug holes they will require acorn lugs.

Post a pic of the wheels.

Look at the wheel where the lugs go. Easy to tell. And it sounds like you already own the right lugs.

Well there is one more thing to check. I put a set of third Gen TRD wheels on my 2013 a month ago using my 13 lug nuts. It cost me $100 to move the TPMS.

I guess more of what im asking here is, since i have the 2019 lugs sitting in a box at another hangar at another airport, will the 2013 lugs fit?

I guess ill just have to go out on one of my breaks and just pull one lug from the wheels currently on my truck to see

With the conical seat lugnuts, there is a "short" and "long" version and it depends on the style of the wheel, so that's a factor as well.

But flat vs cone.. easy to know the difference.

Do a test fit yourself. If you have properly designed lugs to fit those wheels and get at least 8 lug turns when installing, you'll be fine.

Discount is king of telling people things are incompatible.

Just went to grab the “new” lugs at my other hangar. They’re significantly different in appearance. I went ahead and stayed with my original lugs which are larger in size and deeper.
