When I first read about the 2019s I was thinking Heritage blue (like the 2014 FJ TT), not Voodoo blue (like the 2007 FJs). The more I stare at that Tundra the more I like the color. The problem with that color on the FJ was that there was also silver AND black. I’m diggin in that blacked out Voodoo.

Might wait until 2020 and see if the Voodoo becomes available on the OR

All you need to make the non-jbl audio awesome is the Subaru kicker tweeters. They are about $90 on Amazon. 100% plug and play. No splicing. It will make the stock stereo sound amazing. There’s taco specific install videos on YouTube. Best $100 I’ve spent on the truck!

I bet it is a legit snorkel and the only reasons they aren't calling it one is because the diff breather and electronics are still in the stock locations thus the fording depth is unchanged. Also I bet the lawyers don't want people suing when they hydrolock their engines after driving into the ocean.

Just read that the 19 come standard with moon roof, wireless charging and a TRD red letter stamp on skid plate. Along with better JBL sound system. That’s it.
Guess what’s more important really...few bells and whistles or little cheaper price

I don’t need a desert air snorkel intake elephant trunk to go to the mall.

If I had the choice I'd get a 18 as no sunroof. More headroom & I never use the sunroof anyway.

2019 may go up in price due to tarrifs w/ China now. So dealerships may need to raise prices to make the same profit as previous models. I read could be about a $3,000 price jump. Just something to look out for though, not sure if it'll actually happen.

Are tacomas much cheaper in the us or something? I could buy a 2019 Nissan frontier pro 4x with some extras for the price of the most base 4x2 Tacoma available. After taxes the estimate I see on the 4x2 absolute base model is 37973$

lol...Toyota can put whatever price they want on their trucks and sell every single one of them. Toyota could literally make it a requirement to jump through hoops before you can buy a Tacoma (and extra circus-y hoops for the TRD Pro), and you'd drive by dealerships seeing people waiting in line dressed as circus animals.

you said "I'll buy a Pro at $3k off sticker price, and if you deliver it to my house at 12pm Sunday" while there was a line of people saying "I'll pay $5k over sticker! And pick it up while my wife is in labor with my first born!" so the dealership laughed and said "we'll let ya know".

Every wonder why Toyota doesn't have a diesel option?
Every other truck maker is scrambling to offer diesel options. They are even putting stupid engines in their already overpriced compact pickups just to say they offer more diesel options. Fiat put a diesel in the Ram 1500. GM put one in the Colorado. Ford put a turbodiesel in the F150, making 6 engines available to choose from. And Nissan made a big deal about the Cummins in the Titan.
This has all happened in the last ~2 years.
Toyota doesn't need to fiddle with a diesel option. They aint need no help selling their trucks.
Cheaper in the US than where...?

NL Canada. It's literally 150 dollars more for the pro 4x, just had to double check lol...

No its the real thing tacomas are just overpriced here for some reason. You can even get an f150 for cheaper. What I don't understand is how they're still competing here. You compare a 4x4 v6 double cab with offroad suspension lockers nav etc, to a 4x2 4cyl extended cab base model truck how is there even a choice? and the former is only 150$ more. How are they even competing? In the US would the pro 4x be around the same as a TRD package? I'm genuinely curious

Toyota has a loyal and Apple-like rabid fanbase that, in all honesty, it rightfully earned. Scotty Kilmer on YouTube is a great example of this. In the eyes of these people Toyota/Lexus make no mistakes when it comes to reliability and quality.

try to buy a used Toyota( especially a highlander, Tacoma, Tundra or Camry) and you will see ridiculous high market prices for models that are ten years old or more.

After 15 years of owning used Toyotas myself, I refuse to buy any other brand vehicle ever. I guess I have fallen in the Toyota zombie crowd too.

When I was in the market for a new truck, I didn't even consider other brands. I just went straight to the Toyota lot that a Manual available and bought it brand new.
