Nope you still need the mod basics like Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, AJT, MESO and Headstrong.

I mean, is it just me or does the spare on the Colorado hang way too low?

That's about 7%. If you are a cash buyer, not really that much. If you are a 'can I make the payments?' buyer, maybe it is.

IF you are a long term owner, that only matters if you are unfortunate enough to have a significant insurance claim.

If you are an every-couple-of-year-have-a-new-itch-to-scratch owner, then resale matters.

Yes it is worth the premium. However did you consider saving a few thousand dollars and just get a 2019 Tacoma?

    This ^^

Or for that matter the equivalent '16 to what you have, but in 4wd?

New is only a requirement if you want it to be. These things last a long time...........

Have you driven either yet? Drive 'em! Talk the sales person into at least an hour's wheel time with each truck if you can. Forget about the rest, 90-95% of your long-term impression about the truck will come from the drivers seat, so let that be your biggest influence when purchasing.

    Then go buy the Frontier.

how about go out and test drive both, on the highway, country roads, set the cruise control at 65, do it all and see which you like better for your driving style. One you may like, the other you may hate.

I mean if I didn’t get a Tacoma the zr2 is the only other mid size truck that looks good and from the reviews seems very capable offroad- plus I’d get the diesel option. That said I’ve never driven the zr2 but I’d be lying to say they don’t look good

Part of the reason I got my Tacoma is for the resell though because I know in the future I may neeed to upgrade to a full size truck

I'm disappointed that it took 13 posts before the ridgeline guy jumped in. You all are slipping.

I opted for the Tacoma OR after doing a lot of research and test driving. I didn't find the diesel option in the Colorado appealing since I don't have a long commute plus a few other things that just made me question if I really needed it. The Colorado interior just seemed off to me even though looked like it had more room, overtime it would have gotten to me and I would have hated it. It seems like a capable truck but I couldn't find a ZR2 option that was priced well except for a few used ones and then I wondered why they were so inexpensive only being a year old with low mileage.

The 2019 Tacoma OR just fit the price point I needed plus I wanted something that would hold up over time and I could modify it to my liking. The tipping point for me was the price of the Rubicon Gladiator and my wife really trying to convince me that a Ridgeline was the best option because of consumer reports (she meant well but I just can't do a minivan with a bed).

If you are in no rush take some time and look at how you will use the truck and what you want to do with it a few years down the road. Do a lot of research and take advantage of any dealer incentives to drop your out of pocket expense. Also make a list of what can you live with and not live with in both the Tacoma and Colorado, it will be easier to see which option is best for you.

I was all set on a ZR2 because they had some deep discounts and I'd driven some for work for several hours and was impressed with how well they drove (much better than the 2002 F150 I was used to for trucks); then, I made the mistake of renting a Tacoma for work in Washington and had it for a couple days. I'd read in magazines how the Colorado had better interior, space, blah blah blah, but then sat in the Tacoma and was like...ah...shiznit...I immediately liked the setup and it drove well once I found the ECT button. And now I'm here on TW...

Couldn't be happier with the Taco. But as others have said, life is short, get what makes you happy. Both trucks are pretty awesome. Oh, and ridgeline FTW!

I can't stand the head units that Chevy uses. My girl had a 2017 Chevy Cruze and regardless of what audio source you had the car on when you turned it off, it would always default to the radio when you turned it on. As horrible as Entune is, at least Toyota got that part right.

    I know, 1st world problems.
