I want to believe they've modified the shift points, but you know they won't. Haha

If they make a drastic change, that's basically admitting they screwed up the first 4 years of the model. Not happening. It's the same transmission and gearing as the 16-19 MY. They'd have to release a TSB that changes the shift points, and every dealer would be lined out the door with people wanting the revision change. I just don't see it, but I'll be hopeful with you ;)

It's not bad once you understand how to drive it. Just sucks they've dialed it in for gas mileage when all the torque is above 3k RPM. If mine goes 200k miles without any hiccups, it's still a good investment IMO. I can live with some crappy shift points if the transmission lasts forever. We shall see.

I paid MSRP and put down a deposit almost 6 weeks ago. While I was there a different sales guy said he had someone offering $2k over MSRP for it but my sales guy had already locked it down for me. Basically he was checking to see if I had backed out.

Damn that looks good, the wheels and headlights are a huge improvement for the 2020 pro, I wish I could say the same for the TRD OR and Sport, flower wheels for the Sport and chrome tailight surrounds for both.

6 weeks ago. I got super lucky and the dealership I walked into just happened to have an allocation for exactly what I wanted, AG TRD Pro, no snorkel and no decals on the bed. I slapped $500 on it right then and there.

I didn't think it drove too bad. I had it on the interstate for about 20 miles this evening. But, I'll have to apologize in that this is the only Tacoma I've driven much. I did a test drive in a '19 OR back in March to see if I was even interested and I found it lackluster in the shifting department. This *seems* better. But I can't promise anything because I just didn't drive the '19 that far.

I'll give ya quick pro tip. If you're gonna leave it in drive, might as well put it in S mode and S5. Unless you're doing 80+ miles an hour, you never need 6th gear. Unless you're going downhill or on a zero incline, it's going to downshift to 5th. Then it'll play the happy dance between 4th, 5th and 6th and be mildly annoying.

Lighter wheels will make a big difference in power/shifting feel too.

    Beautiful truck man!

You’ll know what I am referring to when you do a trip. Just set the cruise control to 70 or 75 and see if it holds in a gear.
