Just wanted to get a few opinions. I was very precise and ordered a bunch of options for a TRD Sport, LB, DC, Xsp,etc. I found out everything is what I want except, no LED headlights and no advance tech PVM but does have tech pack. Is that a deal breaker?? I guess I could just put in LED lamps instead? I could actually negotiate money off now probably Or Im thinking about just building the same in Off Road with LED headlights...they say the advanced tech package is not available in GA. right now and could be 6 months.

Everyone is different, but I would personally want what I ordered.

Only you can answer that. It depends on how important those things are compared to the items it does have. But you ordered them, so.....

LEDs in a halogen housing aren’t gonna be the same as OEM LED headlights. I’d hold off and get what you actually wanted.

I could live without the cameras, but not the lights. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Stock AF. My 68 Bronco and 2000 2.5RS get the mods.
There are trd offroads available here in wnc with LEDs.

You're buying something brand new, just for you. I advise you dont settle for what you don't want, you'll likely just resent everything about the process.

If "your build" is coming in wrong, it's not your build. It's the dealer saying "close enough, he'll take it."

Yup, that's why I'm waiting on my white TRD offroad. I was hellbent on the new headlights, a manual and white. Those 3 combined made for a decent wait, but its built how I want and its somewhere in between the plant and here. In the meantime, incentives have come out, that's cool.

Also, I chose against the surround view, I'll add a front one when the warranty is up if I'm still so inclined. It wasn't worth the ~$900 to me, personally.

I could take or leave advanced tech but the LED headlights, now that I have them, might be a deal breaker for me. Axe your dealer to fit them for you with some sort of negotiated cost. I know you're probably pissed waiting all this time not to get exactly what you wanted.

I know when I settle for something different than I really want I regret it forever. I wouldn’t settle when it’s a major purchase that you’ll be in everyday. Just my two cents.

If you ordered a Corona and they brought you a Bud Light, you would send that shit back wouldn't you? Why should this be any different? You placed an order for a reason, if you take it like it is you will never be happy with it and will look for things wrong.

Get want you want. The LEDs are amazing and you’ll have A LOT of regret if you settle with out them.

You guys are spot on. When I had my build came in wrong the first time back in September without the LED headlamps, I would not pick it up. Then I asked for a second build and it came in late last month just as what I wanted with other added options! The LED lights are amazing and have that luxury feel to it. My patience paid off big time!

Sounds to me that the dealer couldn't find your exact build in their region's pipeline or allocation and they found something close to your specs. Let them know to have the Inventory Manager do a "preference request" in Dealer Daily with your exact build. Better yet, have them pull up the Vehicle Inventory Summary in Dealer Daily right in front of you and you could reserve a Tacoma with you exact spec right there (if its available). My dealer had no problem doing this for me, if they won't do this in front of you, then tell them you go to another dealer that will. I would suggest that you have your dealer do an out of region trade that's already in the pipeline to get your truck faster. Most dealer won't want to go through the trouble to do this, but if they really want your business they will do it.

It’s beer, it gets you drunk, I’d drink it and go on with life. It’s also $2.50 vs $3 so not a big deal like a truck.

DO NOT settle for less than what you want if what you want is made. You WILL regret it if you do, and your next thread will be "I love my new truck but......"

Get what YOU want, otherwise you will regret it!, I have been a pain in my dealership's ass but my truck is do to be built this week, hopefully it comes in right!! If the sales rep is right and honest, my Truck came via California, the Dealership in California wanted a Corolla that my dealer had coming in, and the dealership wanted a trade, so they had my truck in their allotment, so the did a allocation swap the Corolla is going to California, and the taco is coming to Pennsylvania! So it is your call, good luck.

Get the truck you want with the options you want. It’s a lot of money to pay for what you didn’t order.
