Already spoke with them, being 50 miles away mid day Saturday couldn’t, why I went to closer dealer. After seeing this shitty work I don’t trust them fooling with my brakes! Toyo dealer said if outside company messes w abs they will not cover any future brake issues shall they arise. My company spends a lot of money with this local shop who has 12 locations so assuming they will make it good.

a line mechanic at a dealer is NOT obligated to work on additional / optional equiptment

if or when they do..........................operate on items they are NOT trained on

they assume a certain amount of liability / responsibility

they can to an extent simply indicate its not OEM symptons................

that more than likely the NON OEM is where the issues are........................right or wrong

essentially the very reason I ALWAYS indicate ISOLATE ALL optional accessories b4 diagnosis

indicates trouble issues are indeed OEM or Not !!

    Obviously issues
caused by lift whether done correctly or not. Would you trust a shop to mess with your breaks on a new truck and risk warranty complications?

    Here's how it works...
Let's say your lift shop replaces abs wires with OEM parts and it works. If you ever have any more problems with it, dealer is obligated to warranty it because OE parts, as long as it was properly done.
Your challenge going forward is, if there is any problems that happen that could be related to lift, like CV joints, bearing and a whole bunch of other things, Toyota can deny warranty, and for all those misinformed people reading, they don't have to PROVE the lift caused the problem... they deny warranty and it's up to the owner, through the court system, to prove the lift did not cause the issue.
So back to your abs sensor. If the lift shop does it right and uses OEM parts then the dealer will warranty any future issues if it happens during warranty period.

The dealer specifically would void warranty on brakes if non yota dealer worked on them...I’ve had many a yota..my 2010 had 5100s also never had issue w dealer warranty....come to think back only warranty issue had was the melting parking lights and ac fan motor...both replaced without problem. After warranty did tranny at 150k and needle bearing failure around 225k due to running wheel spacers abs age. Sold truck for 12k two years back w nearly 300k miles..

Knock on wood Toyota’s don’t breakdown! Only been stranded once in a yote...fuel pump failure.....way outside warranty period.

Score a point here for the OEM lift kit Toyota now offers.

yikes. I have entry level mechanical skills, but i managed to install a suspension without messing anything up. I even had a shop inspect my work afterwards and they said I did a great job. It’s not rocket science. TBQH though I took my time and spent about 20 hours total over a weekend plus all the time before that watching videos and reading articles online. A shop would likely get it done a lot faster. The guys that did your job must have been high.

    Verdict...as many said!

both abs sensors were stretched and rear leaf bolts backwards. Dealer r/r abs cables and recalibrated steering angle sensors..$633.00

the shop who installed lift will pay the abs portion of the bill ($450.00) and fix bolts as well as realign. Rides great can’t imagine how the HD Springs would be as the med are stout!
