Maybe. Just found the pic. That top grey antenna connector is not present on the 2016+ HU. So there is an extra antenna on the 2020 unit. It's worth a shot.

Kinda looks like the SAT or maybe the RF?

It could easily be I'm just making a guess at this. And since it's a different manufacturer to the 2016+ HU, even the connector colors could be different. What I can say is:-
RF is one of the antennas in the double white connector, that's been a Toyota & Subaru "hallmark for many years". Many Toyotas also have the SAT as the second antenna in that plug (but not all do). I'm 90% sure the bottom antenna is XM as having a separate XM module under the HU is identical to how they did the 2016+ HU's.

Either way, there are 4 antenna connections in the HU and we can account for 3 of them. (XM, sat, am/fm). It could easily be something other than cell antenna, but as I said, worth a shot just to see what happens if the OP is dead set on circumventing this.

    --EDIT--
On second thoughts, it could also be the 2nd connection in the double antenna plug.
That is of course if the antenna is connected to the HU in the first place.

Yes well I'm guessing too. But my guess is: If this device IS that important, it will not be associated with the HU. It's most likely "Stand Alone" and just simply tied into the Buss for Comms. Just my $0.02

+1 for the "if you aren't concerned about your cellphone, don't worry about this" argument.

Also, none of this is new, how do you think stuff like OnStar in old GMs works? Same thing, different vehicle and a little more data. Or how about finding a stolen vehicle? Same. I'm not saying I like it or that I agree with it, just that perspective is required. Similar to the perspective I gained with the reference to Toyota and the "unintended acceleration" ordeal being a likely catalyst to how they went all-in.

Hey, at least they said something... even though it's kind of like hearing the doctor's glove pop from behind you.

I got to tour Toyota’s underground Driver-score bunker. It was pretty neat.

The whole "BuT yOuR sMaRtPhOnE cOlLeCtS dAtA aNd TrAcKs YoU" argument is right and wrong at the same time. It is right because yes, of course, any iPhone or Android does collect data and track you all the time very true. This is how they keep cell phones affordable and apps free. Apps like FB and IG are only alive due to marketing. Without any info from their users, how are they going to target ads and stay alive as a business? This is well understood and I'm ok with it because I like using those things. Plus, I have nothing to hide, I'm just a regular white collard worker. Pix on social media and all, life is very public. But this is a choice I opt to be in. If someone wants to listen to me getting dirty in my bedroom, by all means enjoy yourself.

HOWEVER, if I'm paying $40,000 for a truck... why would I want it to track, record, and transmit my every move? I don't use my vehicle for the same purpose as a phone. I think it's ridiculous. And as it's been mentioned before, in any case of any accident, liability will be stiffer and less insurance coverage. The only winners here will be insurance corporations and the courts to stiff you good. Insurance companies are already raking in tons of cash, why the hell let them keep more? Ever wonder why every single ad is for insurance? They have nothing better to spend their money on...

@Brentphx There is another thread talking about your original post here. You can remove the DCM fuse, which will kill the data transmission and tracking. Unfortunately, it also cuts off the in cabin microphone. I've had my fuse out for a couple of weeks without issue.

That’s your biggest concern? My concerns are much more nefarious than that. Toyota is free to set any gateways they want for their warranty. Far worse would be if governments had the data and could track you to locations where crimes had occurred (and question or imprison you just for being in the same area) Or retroactively apply laws and penalize you for breaking new laws in the past. There are lots of ways it could go bad but not getting my rear diff leak covered under warranty because of speeding is not one that I consider to be a problem.

Article 1 section 9 of the constitution prohibits this:
"No Bill of attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed."
That being said, I still don't want that shit in my truck. 2017 base model FTW

In my worst case scenario the constitution won’t help anyone. All the mechanisms will have already been implemented for a totalitarian authority to abuse. It would just takes the right circumstances to spiral us into it. At that point the constitution will just be a fond memory.

Everyone keeps choking up that same “durr hurr ya got a cellphone ain’t ya”

    ya. No shit.

I can whip my cell phone right out my truck window and be done with it’s tracking voodoo. But I can’t throw my truck out of its own window. That’s fuckin stupid.

    Phone does not equal truck.

thankfully, my 17 transmits ZERO (0) info. Which makes it similar to a black hole in some respects.

Yes. Evil Toyota and nefarious Apple are working together to control the earth and our minds
    :annoyed:
they can put us all in jail for speeding and retroactively fine us for running that stop sign when I was going to the grocery store. They’ll arrest me for being parked next to the bank that got robbed because my bank gets robbed on a weekly basis:notsure:
Then they can put barcodes on us and use us for meat to feed the wealthy and then trigger 5g to blow all our minds so we don’t remember and can’t think for ourselves.
The gateway to the black hole to bring our demise is imminent.
