All trucks are slightly different. Our local shop which is extremely well known did my install and all though it was close to specs the diff drop made it better. Did the ECGS just to be sure.

Diff drops are all useless on 3rd gen’s. It only rotates the diff. Get ECGS if you get vibrations. On that note, don’t use spacers that are over 1/4-1/2” thick on top of your coilovers and if you feel like going a full 3, you force yourself into upper control arms.

4th clip on the 5100s, 1” rear block and 5100s, Method 704s and 255 Toyo AT3s. Came out pretty dialed

Nice, looks great! Is that the same dealership that owns Beaverton Ford in Ohio? If so I got an 88 Ford Mustang SSP when the dealership made a double order for the state police. Saleen Mustangs bought 5 and 3 SSPs were sold off to collectors. I bought one a few years back from one of the collectors. Cool story if you were to ever google it.

I'm down with this, looks great with the 255's. Any rubbing? Did you measure how much lift you gained in total with the tires & suspension?

P.S thanks for doing all of the homework for me ;)

I had to do some mild trimming and on the bumper and heatgun/reform the liner a little bit. Mud flaps could be modified to not rub but I just took them off. The wheels are 0 offset 17x8.5. All in all rubbing was minimal and I didnt have to cab mount chop or hack the bumper up too bad. Im happy with it.

Is there a noticable difference between how the 2 trucks drive on the different settings? I'm doing a 1.5" 3 leaf prgressive AAL and I'm considering doing the 5th clip (so there should be a bit of rake) .

I'm running 265/75/16s on clip 3 and nothing in the back right now and it drives great and its level. I'm doing the Wheelers progressive 3 leaf out back now and I'm trying to decide between 4th or 5th clip up front now. No armor or anything. Hopefully 5th clip should be 2" as Billstien says.

Update: I went with the Wheelers Progressive add a leaf out back (no helper spring) and moved the front to the top clip on stock coils. Moving to the top clip produced vibration after 3K miles in the front but the dealership correctly recognized it as the diff bearing TSB and authorized swapping the entire differential. I asked them if they would do the ECGS for me while the differential was on the bench and they did it for free ( I bought the bearing and the tools). This fixed the issue 100%.

I don't have anything in terms of diff drops or carrier bearing drops and the truck drives absolutely fine (smoother/better than stock) at any speed and is completely smooth on the street and works well beach driving and light off roading.

No rubbing anywhere. Perfect set up for me.
20210726_090940.jpg . I even loaded it with a pallet of cobblestones a few times (overweight I know) from Home Depot and it handled it fine on the way home.

It has a very slight rake to the front and I love how it drives. 10K miles later it has all settled in and sits just how I want.

Yes they do. My son's truck just got a new set of Toyo open country at3 so his may ride a slight bit better, seriously they ride and drive nearly identical.
