I think it’s clear who lacks the reading comprehension given that my initial response was a simple question.

You clearly have a lemon, go trade it in for a ridgeline.

Nice edit. Why would I trade my GFC? It’s perfectly fine

For the same reason I wouldn’t trade my entire truck due to the cheap cameras when I could potentially just upgrade, like you could do when your latches for your topper seize up in the cold. Which is why I made the post asking if anyone had A solution or upgrade.

But they don’t seize in the cold and I don’t make posts on TW complaining about them.

The reason I asked what you used them for was because if you wanted to use them offroad my buddy runs a front and rear camera system and also has 2 mirror cameras for his FJ that he used for offroad and they are 1080p at 60fps, but you’ve decided to take this another direction.

To be honest I feel like the camera resolution is sufficient for a back up camera. The dynamic guidelines on all trims would be nice though.

Quite a few things at this point..
Hmm, I find the JBL system, at least in the 2019, and at least in my truck, is outstanding in sound quality and performance. Even had my audio engineering friends poke at it and they even confirmed the system sounds fantastic without any tuning.

No contest sir, I’m not going to start posting real mountaineering pics of myself where porters don’t carry my gear, jk (kinda)

I’m doing the wind river traverse this summer. Maybe I’ll see ya Rollin with your GFC though my upgraded front camera system.

haha damn, it has turned into A pissing match. gotta love the forums ❤️

Ya maybe you can hit a few 14ers if you’re ever in CO.

Sherpas play a large role in big mountain climbing. If you’re trying to take a dig at my summit of Kilimanjaro then I really pity you.

Is it safe to assume you’ve checked that the camera lenses don’t have a protective plastic film over them?

Can confirm, camera resolution is depressingly shite. I hopped in my friend's brand new RAV4 and was envious of the crystal clear cameras.

From what I have searched the Camera itself is the same, at least for 3rd Gen Tacomas.. it is that they up'd the screen size of the head unit but not the resolution of the screen itself nor the camera and as we all know.. the bigger a screen gets without compensating with additional resolution will produce a low grade image.

With that said, I have been using mine a lot and have not noticed an impact on what they were designed for... I am not trying to tie my shoes though with the camera.

Lol you know I was, did you take the safari ride/package deal after your summit?

maybe you can head on over to CA and summit Whitney on the mountaineering route, it’s higher elevation than anything you have in CO.

No need to pity me bro, been there done that. Let’s be friends here, I bet we’ll get along great.
