I'm interested in "scalable for the masses" for some reason. Don't know why. I just really like mods that the average person can handle with little to no instruction. I consider that pretty fun stuff.

My current, and favorite method is to laser cut acrylic amber and use it as a filter before the lens. This way is the least intrusive, easiest to mod, and most importantly.. RELIABLE. Not to say a LED chip swap isn’t(if done correctly), but you can’t beat Toyota engineers. (They spec’d the exact voltage LEDS, circuits, robot assembled, torture tested, etc..and it just runs.
Another benefit is the passive amber look(when lights are off) which I personally like.
But…Filtering WHITE light to Amber is a much different color than a standard orange LED. This will give off more of a yellowish-orange AKA “PC amber”

For the shop tundra, but you get the idea

Me too. The lighter color has a little more intensity I feel which make them stand out more.

Does that affect the turn signal color?

Any interest in having a bunch made for the peoples? How does one go about sourcing laser cut acrylic?

Not exactly what you're asking but a little motivation for you, Morimoto's with amber drl. The taillights are beautiful as well if you wanted to match the sequential turn signals and great light output.

were these easy to install? I have an SR coming in around September and want to make the switch eventually. Are they truly plug and play or did you have to do some extra wiring?

    they look awesome!

Complete plug and play on my SR. Same for the Meso/Morimoto tail lights.

Any chance you have a video or couple pictures on how to open up the headlights? I want to do this since I love the OEM led headlights rather than the aftermarket ones. I did the tail lights myself but the headlights feels more expensive to mess up. Any tips?

If you opened up your tail lights, its pretty much the same process.

Thanks. I opened the tail light with a dremel. I was hoping the headlights were opened baking them or something less intrusive :/
