I just bought my new 2020 trd off road. I am wanting to put a lift kit on it but not sure which route to take as this is my first truck I will be lifting. It is my daily driver and wont be ridden off road much as of now. I want something that is going to give me the look I want but also still perform how I need for a daily driver and a little light off roading.

Congratulations, and welcome to the Tacoma World Community!

You will, undoubtedly, hear a lot of opinions from a wide berth of people on here regarding lift kits, but the real question is, why do you want to lift the truck? Aesthetics? Off-Road functionality? Clearances? (Tires can help here)

Once that is established, the recommendations will be much more positioned to aid you with choosing a set up that fits you best.

Budget is a big consideration as well, how much are you looking to spend?

Mostly for aesthetics, I would like to put a little bit bigger of a tire but not huge. I am a small girl so I dont want to have some crazy lift and tires. I will do some light off roading but that wont be anytime in the near future.
This will be my first vehicle I have ever done mods on, I totalled my original tacoma beginning of this year and finally have my dream tacoma that im ready to build. I am lost when it comes to what lift and specs to get for my truck as I have never done this before. I dont have a price range I want to stay in but obviously dont want to go crazy with it as I am going to be looking at tires and rims and other mods done to the truck.

    Fantastic!

One of the best resources you will find is here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tacoma-lift-faq-guide-read-this.11282/

Within it, if you scroll down a bit to the "Options for the Front!" section, you will see the basics.

With lifts you have quite a few options for the application you are looking for, while still trying to avoid spending your life savings on a setup that will never be used the way it was meant to.

For a cost effective solution, a popular modification would be spacers. Wescott is one of many vendors that makes them, but you can see an example here:
    https://westcottdesigns.net/product/toyota-tacoma-trd-off-road-preload-collar-lift-kit/

If you want to go beyond spacers, the Bilstein 5100 option is very popular as well,
    https://www.offroadwarehouse.com/product/bilstein-5100-complete-shock-and-strut-kit

Beyond this, the sky is the limit, but if you are looking for a solid lift that is between the 1" to 2.5" range without making major modifications to the truck these are a few options.

Most members will tell you the best and easiest way to get clearance and and improve off-road performance would be a set of larger tires, do your research on these options, though to ensure fitment with (or without) a lift kit.
