I'll admit, I had one fall onto my hand and I shook that thing off and smashed it with the biggest rock I could find.

Then I put another big rock on top of that lol

Don't see too many of them out here even though I know they're around, especially in the desert. But the ones in TX got HUGE, I think the only place that beats TX for giant insects is Australia.

Although with scorpions it's the little fuckers you have to worry about that pack the biggest punch, the big ones just look like something that might chase you in your nightmares.

That simplifies things a lot then. Go with an alt-azm mount, and as big of an aperture as you can afford.

If you don't mind so much about portability, this one is pretty sweet. Right at a grand(ish), too.

You know, I've never seen a scorpion in CA.

I've seen several rattlers though; I remember doing laundry late night at the barracks and we had to walk to the laundry room that was on the backside of the PX.

I walked out to see a damn rattlesnake right in the rocks, inches from the pathway.

I said FUCK THAT and did a big loop around it; I don't care about spiders and scorpions but a rattlesnake is one thing that'd have me saying NOPE real quick.

    Portability wouldn't matter.

I put off buying one mainly cause my significant other said "how much?!". She doesn't care for me to spend a lot on her, which is nice.

I'll pick one up next year though and it'll be great for when we camp out in the middle of nowhere.

Think now's a better time than ever to say the list is as big as it should be.

Maybe we should start limiting the group to people with 4x4...

    Are you serious?

    I thought $3.69/87 $3.99/91 was average.

I've been daily driving the Tacoma, and I'm still spending a bit more on gas for the 5.0 than I have for the Taco; Taco uses 87 and the 5.0 is on 91.

Sorry, Utah is full of full time residents. @JKO1998 has the graph to prove it.

Might be up there but in LA right now the average for 87 is closer to $4 and 91 is well above $4. Just keeps going up, jumped .50c over last week. Insane
