Dousing him with fire suppressant chemicals while he was trapped definitely didn't help.

Reddit is going off the rails at Hamlin and Blaney. I haven't seen the replay but I thought Newman just went up to block Denny and got turned. He's always said, "if you want to pass me you gotta go through me." That's how Ryan's always raced. Toughest son of a gun to pass out there.

    Hamlin did nothing dirty.

That whole incident was last lap superspeedway racing.

Blaney went for the pass and got blocked... Newman went around and Hamlin stayed on the gas.

I feel bad for Denny right now... just like MW back in the day a great moment might get tainted by tragedy. You can see it in his face he hated to win like that. I feel for him Denny is a good guy.

    Again... prayers for Ryan.

Hamlin run that young boy up into the back of him knowing he wouldn’t be able to handle it... nothing but shake and bake from there for Hamlin. Hamlin knew what he was doing and the possible outcome of his actions.

I saw. They easily could have extinguished the flames at the rear of the car without spraying the whole car.

I also know how nasty that chemical is. I worked fire rescue at DIS from 94 to 98, and that shit would damn near suffocate us when we used it in the open. I can't imagine being trapped in the car and breathing it in.
