Maybe I’m blind, but I’ve done a few searches and cannot find this. Just wondering if anyone knows what the screen resolution is on the OEM 2020 head units? This is the one with CarPlay.
I’m looking at upgrading and just don’t know what my reference point is. Just want to make sure I don’t downgrade!
    Thanks!

I don’t have a number, but it’s bad. Toyota resolution has been awful for years compared to every other major brand

Ok, so if I go with an 800x420 (WVGA) head unit like the alpines, rather than full 720p I won’t be at risk of downgrading?

I want better sound and interface, but don’t need movie quality picture.

Yeah WVGA is fine for a radio. The backup camera quality is also crap so you won’t lose anything in that aspect either. CarPlay looks fine
