    Hey everybody,
I recently bought a 2020 Off-road with the long bed and I noticed around 70-85 mph the ride feels a bit bouncy. Anybody else having this issue??

Stock OR shocks are pretty bouncy IMO. I was dead set on the OR until I test drove it and absolutely hated the suspension. Went with the Sport for that reason.

Ha! My lady noticed that bounce the first time she was hungover in the truck. The Sport is way smoother down the highway. The OR is for doing 60 on washboard forest service roads.

Maybe things have changed since I had my 2015 TRD Sport, but my 2020 TRD Pro rides a lot smoother on the road than my TRD Sport did.

I’d guess that makes sense given the Fox suspension? Never driven the Pro. Above was my impressions test driving the Sport vs OR. I’d guess “stiffer” is better way to describe vs the OR.

Sport suspension is harsh as hell on the $hit roads of southern Wisconsin. OR is softer...but a bit bouncy.

Even if you do not lift, swap out the stock Billies for the cheap and cheerful Billstein 5100s. They improve the ride of the TRD OR way beyond their price point. Better on and off road.

Hum...I just sold my 2016 SR5 and bought a 2020 TRD OR. To be honest, I haven't really noticed much different in the way it rides compared to the 2016 except that it smells newer inside...

This, OR shocks do have a soft ride. Another quick and free thing you should check; tire presssures, someone at the dealer (or last service) may have over filled them. This drives me nuts- when I get my work (and personal truck) serviced, I specifically ask them to write a note for the tech to leave tire pressures alone. Just a few psi in the tires, under an empty bed, can make a huge difference.

thanks for the input on this. i'll be trading in my sr5 for the OR and always wondered how the OR suspension would be compared to the sr5 soft ride.

The OR comes with the bigger rear diff and locker...THATs why you buy an offroad...

Correct. Much easier to swap some shocks than a rear diff and electronic locker

Dealers have a habit of overinflating tires...
    What pressure?

Do you have the model # of the OEM Bilsteins? To compare the factory model vs the 5100s to see what Bilstein says about the two models?

Haven't taken delivery of my truck yet, but if they're just regular old shocks and not some fancy coil-over thingies, seems like a simple solution would be to have one set of "daily driver" shocks, and a different set of "wheelin" shocks.

the OR is soft and bouncy, meant for taking small hits better and more comfortably while off road.

the Sport is stiff and tighter, meant for better and crisper handling while on clean paved roads.

the Pro is the best of both worlds and exactly what a suspension should be. It is planted and handles great, while soaking up bigger bumps and road imperfections.
