This is horrible! Do most blue pearls have this issue?

I went right to dealership, a little over 6 mos old, service and body shop Mgr where there and saw it, the said when the Toyota Corp rep is out, I will be called to have that person look at it, saw someone else's post and it sounds identical to my issue..

When i spoke with different dealers when looking to buy a new tacoma, their salespeople told me to stay away from their voo-doo blue. I'm now assuming they made an error being the pearl blue.

LOL I’ve never had an issue seeing my hood.

5’7 is pretty short though so I wouldn’t know. At least you’re not Big Ed.

I don't have fading paint. My 2020 Tacoma paint is wavy. I think the clear coat ran during production. I went to the dealer and they showed me all 2020 Tacoma's have this as well as other lines. Toyota quality is slipping. Anyone buying a toyota beware.

Bringing this back from the dead…2018 MGM Left fender has spots near the hood and both doors look blotchy. I put wax on itnand thought I didnt get it all off. Went over it again and yup Toyota paint job fail….

Yes, I seem to remember the solution was heat gun lightly on the clear and it would go back to normal.

Any updates on this? Did the dealer resolve this issue? I just noticed something similar on my 2021 mgm tacoma.
