I figured but just wasn't 100% sure. Thank you for always clarifying things for me.

So I never got an answer to any of my questions.
However I have dug around and found the part number for the washer fluid sensor itself.
There are different versions of it, and I am unsure on the differences between them. Newer versions are green, while older versions are white.

I went for the same one on my 2013 RAV4 and LandCruiser:
    85397-30400

    It goes for around $40

Looking at the picture, everything in the box is already Included with the purchase of your LED Headlights. Only #2-5 are not in the box, the bolts and clips should be on the truck already. But #2 may be something unique. Checked and confirmed that #2 is also on the Halogen Headlights diagram.

So it should already be attached to the truck OR the headlight.

I have not gotten it yet. I was thinking of just ripping out my RAV4's own to test if it will work.
Haven't gotten around to doing it.

Canadian Tacomas have it as standard.
Our trucks are prewired for it, since there is a harness plug near the washer tank. I even confirmed the shape of the plug matches with the input of part number#85397-30400.

However, since the "low wiper fluid" warning comes up in the center multimedia display, I do not know if the ECU has to be built for it, or another component is needed.

US trucks have the plug, and will connect to the sensor hardware. But do not know if anything else is needed in between the sensor to the dash.

I have always thought it is stupid the 3rd gens don’t have a low fluid sensor. My 1st gen had one:notsure: and it was 20 years old.
I’d definitely be interested in this mod if it works!?

Our Washer Fluid tanks even have the hole on the side for the sensor. It is just plugged up.

Here you go. I just put this in. The wiring harness is already inside the tail light. Just plug in the attached wire harness and then plug it into the other harness and you are done.

Just put mine in last weekend because I had the taillights out to put in bed stiffeners. Insanely easy on 2020s, gotta love it.

I would love to have these version of the bed lights. First, no one has made a cut out template that 2016-2019 could use. I recall someone wanting to do it, but did not see a follow up.

Would have to also figure out how to run the cables up to the cab, or if the old bedlight harness is usuable.
Do not know what "exact" wires these would tap into.

Do you know when you can start to purchase 2021 parts? The reason I ask is I have a 2020 limited superwhite and my outside door handles are white with a chrome strip on them. It has the smartkey system. I want to get all black door handles but all of the 3rd gen door handles that are black don't have the smart key. That looks to be changing in 2021. The limited nightshade has black handles and that should be with smart key.

I would like to get the part numbers for all 4 handles when they are available.
Do you know when they will release a parts list?

Pretty sure you can source color keyed handles from TRDs for the smart key. I think they are prepainted, maybe not though.

That would be great but I was told by 2 parts department that all black handles did not include smart key. Not sure how a painted handle would look I think it needs to be matte black

You can get handles in matte black, painted black, or painted black with chrome with smart key. Which are you interested in, I'll post the part numbers (paint code if you have it).

To confirm I can get matte black with smart key? if that is the case can you send me the part number?
My truck color is superwhite so I don't want to color match.

For anyone that is planning or may attempt on adding the wiper washer fluid sensor, I have noticed that some do not have the plugged hole for the fluid sensor. My truck (TRD Sport) does not have the hole, but my friends Limited does (No sensor though).

There is a cutout guideline though (You can faintly see it), which is interesting. The harness is also there.
    DSC_3649-01.jpg

The tank with the plug would look like this.
    Screenshot_20200915-002917-01.jpg

I guess I could just drill a hole if I install one. The part comes with a grommet anyways.

    85315-04110 - Jar, Washer Fluid
    85397-AA040 - Switch, Level (Alternate: 85397-30400)
    85319-AA020 - Grommet/Seal, Level Switch

As for whether or not it will work on a USA-spec vehicle, couldn't say. Many have the connector there, but as to whether it would work or not you'd need to test it. Could easily short the connector and see if the light comes on to test it.

I suspect it will probably work after looking at the wiring diagram.

    PT977-89210-00 - Cooler Box, Cement
PT977-89210-06 - Cooler Box, Army Green

Sorry, I misspoke or misremembered in my last post. While you can get door handles in matte black with smart key in general, you cannot that I am aware of for the Tacoma. That said you can definitely get black painted handles with smart key.
