    I'd like to confirm this as well, is it 55539-28160-C0?

    I'm specifically looking to fill the carplay usb port in the dash.

    Thanks!

    @Jeff Lange:

    Do the attached picture of the plugs/covers for the tailgate camera harness have a number or do you or anyone else know how one would go about getting a set?

    Apparently, I either lost them or did not get them with my new truck and discovered it today when removing my tailgate to install the auto lock tailgate mod.

    If anyone has them and if they could look and see if they have numbers on them and post them if so, I would appreciate it. Thank you !

    I have some knockoffs of these if you want caps to seal. They are the same as the license plate intercept. See the DIR DIY thread for the part numbers.

    Thank you, and excuse my ignorance, but those look like for the backup lights and have 4 connections on the inside, the backup camera has 8... but then again I have a hard time understanding Caribe Makaira's posts because I am but a simpleton.

    The FleaBay is correct. They come in a bag with instructions telling you how to simply do what should be obvious. Mine were in the right-rear well, with my jack kit. I have heard others say it was in glove box. Either way, pretty straight forward. I’m happy to pull mine and look them over if needed.

    Thank you! I appreciate the help from both of you.

    That part is clearly it. One thing, when I search on toyota parts.com, it tells me it is only through 2019 for some Tacomas. However, it is $8.00 and I am pretty sure the camera has not changed between 2017 - 2021 so the connectors should be the same... I am gonna get one and I will update the results.

    When I look up the same thing for 2021, I get 82824-04050 I’m not sure if there is a physical difference, but there you go.

    No, the camera is the same, the connector between the body harness and tailgate harness changed though.

    Thanks for the info. I was just trying to figure out why the Bean Counters allowed the change. They won’t change a part unless there is a reduction in cost, increase in reliability, or engineering benefit. Since this doesn’t seem to win any of those, I wondered. Maybe it benefited the Tundra which shared the part.

    I remember Caribe mentioning a change from 4 positions to 6? Anyone got a photo of 82824-04050 to confirm?

    It’s possible they intend to make the tailgate lock harness a factory option?
