Hey TW! I'm just a little over 2 weeks in on the Pro and couldn't be happier. That being said, the weather in Little Rock has been quite wet these weeks and the splash i'm getting on the side of the truck is just making me die on the inside :rain:. I had the mud guards on my 2011 Sport back in the day and I remember them being so stiff that they would hit hard on anything I went over. Is there a good aftermarket alternative that offers some flex to the flaps?

Also, I'm looking at getting a set of 265/75/16s to replace the boring factory tires. KO2s are high on my list but still up in the air. Tires will be a "after holidays" purchase so still have some time to decide. Would I run into any issues with the small size up in tire if I were to install mud flaps?

Thanks for all of the help TW! You have no idea how much time i've spent on this site over before and after the purchase.

    ~Chris R.

No I run 265s with flaps and no rubbing. They really help save the paint.

They are just the OEM predator tubes. They look good on the truck for sure!

I thought the pro came with factory mud’ flaps? First one I have seen without them .

    Thanks! I'll look into those.

I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but the OR comes with flaps as standard (I think). You can get them on the pro but only as an added option. I honestly like the look of the Taco without the flaps, but I plan on keeping this vehicle for a long time and just want to save the longevity of the paint and all that other stuff.

I replaced my OEM with RokBlokx. Seemed like the best bang for the buck.

think they are pretty similar to Rekgen, can get them in a couple different sizes and they will flex without popping the connection out like oem guards

Yes :) OE Mud flaps are not “standard” on any Tacoma trim level at this time. Optional on all trim levels, either as a port or dealer installed option.
