I recently just turned off traction control and held the button for 5 seconds so as much as you can turn off is off. Trying to have some fun on ice once my tires started spinning my truck died on me and said high temperature transmission check charging system and check engine light. I turned it off and it wouldn’t start again I gave it a for more minutes then it started up again. What does that mean or what should I do? Has anyone else had this problem?

I tried the same for my traction control on my 2020 sr5 and it did nothing. I can disable it but then i have another led on the dash that stays on that tells you its now off.

They make it harder and harder to have fun. If you want a good drift car that plows through the snow, get a crown vic, or mercury marques. VSS/WSS/ABS blah, blah, blah and traction control will ruin your day and I'd advise not phucking with it. LOL
